someone calls from this number everyday as soon as I answer giving my number after 2-3 seconds the line goes dead (there is a noise as if the receiver is being put down).

It is deemed as being from a company called Viewline Northwest, selling UPVC. My guess it is a misrepresentation. I have read under another telephone number that it may be a front for Chantry Collections, subsidiary of Albermarle and Bond, pawnbrokers. It would be great if someone could confirm for definite.

Keep ringing me left no message.  When phoned back there was an answer phone message for Viewline Northwest, selling UPVC.

Exactly the same as above - I was wary of the 0843 number, and it seems rightly so.

I have been receiving calls from viewline northwest for approx.2yrs now.  They won't give up. I have the misfortune of speaking to the 'sales' team. When I tell them to stop calling, I don't want or need double glazing, facias, guttering etc they become abusive. I've reported them to trading standards who confirmed it was harrassment and two reports have been made to police. They know this, but they still carry on.  Got another call today which was very upsetting. Somehow they know my address which worries me.  Please report any calls you get something needs to be done.  I am frightend to face them on my own.

I had a messag left on my answer phone saying "We have got your car in custody Sir!"

Seems like they want me to call them back, but how much would it cost me and why should I?  My car is still on my drive and my daughter is in my other one!

Just received my first call from this number. I never return a call to ANY O8 or 09 numbers.

I think BT should give us the ability to block nuisance numbers!!

phoned me at 16:25 on 5/10/09 when call was answered heard talking in background then line went dead.

keep getting calls around teatime from this number. if i answer the line goes dead. thought it was strange, not tried ringing back just in case, glad I haven't now looking at the other comments

This comes from Viewline North West cold calling for UPVC products.

If you want to complain about the cold / nuisance calls call them on their freephone number which is 0800-652-2820.

I've just done this and have been assured that my number will be removed from their system within 5 days.

If they don't then it's a complaint to Offcom from me.

Hope this helps anyone else being plagued by these morons.

I've had several calls from them in the past (on a different number) and asked to be removed from their list as we are a member of TPS. After asking to be removed, they continued to call - 5 times in one night - so it's obvious they don't give a damn.

Last night received a silent call from them on this number so, as it seems they don't listen to me, I've complained to Ofcom and the TPS.

same as everyone else, no one there when answered, no joy when tried to call back. they just keep ringing

getting calls on a regular basis, never spoke to anyone, don't ring them back because if you do get through to someone it will cost a fair bit for your call

Has your dialing system been faulty for the last 2 years? If not, how do you explain some of the complaints above?

Whilst it might be the cause of the most recent problems, don't hide behind technical faults for what is blatantly illegal - i.e. calling people on the TPS list and not removing people when they asked to be removed. How do you explain calls I got in summer 2009(as I said, 5 in one night) where, when I explained that I had already been called 3 times previously that evening and would call the Police with a view to making a harrasment complaint, I was called back from the same number seconds later, someone shouted "f*** off", laughed, and put the phone down?

Unfortunately, as a double glazing type company, you are automatically tared with the "dodgy" selling brush and your previous actions are doing nothing to convince people otherwise.

I don't know if it was Viewline but I received a call from the above number at 12:48 today. I didn't answer...I never do answer the phone from numbers beginning 08 or 09.

Called me twice today whilst out. as a member of the TPS I take these marketing calls as a very serious breach of their contractual obligations.
I foolishly telephoned back to see who it was and listened to their recorded message.

letahl injection can only be the answer to these pariahs.....just had another "silent call" - Viewline Northwest, you are breaking the law in your desperation to gain orders. If you are that good, your reputation will carry you, obviously you've pi**ed off too many.....

Report Viewline North West to everyone you can think of. Tell all your friends and family how disingenous they are and hopefully we will bankrupt them!!

Their appalling reputation will surely trip them up very soon. What a shocking way to run a business, I'm just glad I've never had the misfortune to have done business with them!

COMPLAIN ABOUT VIEWLINE NORTH WEST NOW to TPS and Ofcom .........let's eliminate them once and for all!
