Got a call on 08434107092 yesterday. The man seemed to have a northern Indian accent and was difficult to understand. We was offering me a 1000 hectare plot of land for sale on Mars, close to the Curiosity landing site. If I were to give him my sort code and bank account details he would arrange a transfer of £672 for this plot. In the light of future Martian exploration he advised that the value of the land would increase 100-fold in a decade. He also advised that, within 15 years, the first retirement homes would be built on that land. I suspect it was a scam because, when I asked him about the level of insulation and double glazing required to combat the Martian winters he could not give me any advice about this. So, if anyone out there is offered a large plot of land on Mars, consult your lawyer before going ahead with the deal.

one week later another call, can i look forward to one tomorrow as well. they never say say anything on answer phone, dont answer less i know who it is. dont they realise it is a BANK HOLIDAY give us a rest.

i get calls from these [***] on weekends, Bank holidays, weekdays....from 08434107092. these [***] still work for their british colonial lords, f***ing east india companies, owned by their european masters, for less then a penny.... feel like getting rid of my landline completely..... because of these pests who never get fed up of angry customers, all for a penny..... shoot the f***ers..... leeches.... paracites  27/08/2012

of £250 for nothing repeat nothing avoid like the plague and laugh at his transplant

I have just checked my phone bill and this number has called me a few times and I got charged for the calls which is so ridicules. I did not even pick the phone up and yet got charged. I am so angry now I am going to contact my provider and get a refund for the 44p that was billed to me when this number is a nuisance calling my line and I got charged. This is bad enough they harrased me and I also have to pay for it. What is the matter with this nasty people who go round calling people for no absolutely no reason at all.
Please God sort them out. This is just unbeliveable!

Please can someone confirm that this is a genuine company as my neighbour is doing a transaction with them, she is an elderly lady and I am worried this is a scam!

They are a genuine company but their practices leave a lot to be desired. See the conditions on the MOJ Claims Regulation website - if they took money from your neighbour on their first call they have breached their conditions and I would recommend reporting them to info@claimsregulation.gov.uk

Thankyou Ha Ha for your reply. She has paid them £250, and they have asked for her store card information, don't think she should be paying anything till the job is done so to speak. They did tell her that she was due £2,500, so I hope she gets it!

Hi. Have had no end of hassle with this company myself. An elderly friend of mine also paid them money upfront. Do not trust them they are breaching laws and taking advantage of vulnerable people . Report them to

There are ways she can get her money back , it is not too late but a telephone call to the MOJ on the telephone number I provided is needed, or an email as HaHa suggested.

Thank you Justice seeker for your comments.  The lady in question has asked for hor money back and is not going ahead with any transactions.  I think she realises now that they are nothing but conn merchants, and won't be taken in again.
It's sad that people are being conned by the likes of them, it it nothing more than daylight robbery!
