    hi everyone, i have found this page by searching "Mobile Shop" ... i strangely receive no text or calls but i DO have the £3 constantly appearing on my bill from early feb, every week, to present. don't give up hope, a have been credited all the money from Vodafone, after going to the shop for face~to~face rather than over the phone method.

    i am been charged also for down load ring tones which i have not subscribed to i have text stop to a number vodafone gave me but still as not stopped been charged another twelve pounds, so have got onto trading standerds and will continue till it stops, these people are just con artists. and i will cancel my contract with vodafone if i get any more trouble.

    Recd a bill last week for 3 x £3.00 - spoke to my daughter who told me the only thing she could think of was the same prob.  Total shock just opened this months bill to find 5 c £3.00 - vodaphone very helpful and gave me this no.  As suspected answering machine.  Left message - will keep you posted.

    Like all you guys, i also have been stung for the last 3months @ £9 a time. Vodafone gave me The Mobile Shop Number as 08445 796345. A man answered but hung up before i had chance to say anything !!!

    Well reading all this has made me feel slightly better - thought i was going mad ! Couldn't find anything on google search about mobile shop & only found you guys by googling the no.vodafone gave me !! not giving up on this currently on hold for vodafone manager on 191 wish me luck - if I get anywhere i'll post what happens

    My Partner has been a victim of this scam.

    We received our bill in March which showed download charges of £9. phoned vodafone who gave us the name of Mobileshop and said we have to contact them on 08445796345. thought against this as its a premium number, plus we had responded to the random text received in March to STOP the subscription (thinking this would stop them) got our April bill through which has a further £12 downloads on there.... somethings not right!  phoned Mobileshop who phoned us back... the women got very funny with us saying we agreed to the subscription therefore would not be getting a refund but apparently she's taken us off the subscription list.

    Phone Vodafone back, they again can't do anything apart from block the number. (think i'll be sending them a letter)

    phoned trading standards this morning and they have advised to send Mobileshop a letter asking for proof of contract, proof of downloads and for money to be refunded. give them 10-14 days to respond to the letter. if they don't phone trading standard back for further advise.

    you would think the mobile phone companies would have something in place to protect their customers.  My partner has just been made redundant so we really can't afford to keep paying out for things we haven't had... makes me angry.

    Has anyone had any success getting there money back???

    think i might have made some headway.  Spoke to vodaphone 2 weeks ago - left on hold.  Rang again today spoke to billing.  Still said same thing that its not a scam and we have subscribed.  Rang back and spoke to tech support who could see I had not downloaded or subscribed to anything. Put back through to billing with this confirmation from tech support.  This  Billing person acknowledged it was a scam and that vodaphone are investigating it - All they could give me was same no to ring which I said was useless. Eventually was reimbursed and told that the £3.00 had stopped appearng 2 weeks ago according to my June bill - so i guess my phone call 2 weeks ago worked.  WATCH THIS SPACE!!!!!! May I suggest you e-mail customer services.

    Ive had the same problem since february £12 to £15 a month added to my bill, ive just txt STOP to 87448 and have had 2 replies back one from 87448 saying (Feee Msg) your subscription to Tonesite Club has be been stopped. then a 2nd from 88066 sayin FreeMsg u have been unsubscribed, sorry to see you go. Fingers Crossed this has worked...

    I discovered that I also have been hit by a regular £3 per week from Mobile Shop and so called Vodafone, they gave me the 08445 796 345 number which I called and got an answer on. They must have a few irate callers as they did deal with me calmly,
    they have promised to unsubscribe me today and will call me back during a working week to explain what I have subscribed to and provide details.
    I was insistent that I did not subscribe directly for anything and they said that I could have had my number passed on by another company.

    I called Vodafone back to see about sharing my number and they apparently do have a policy of providing numbers to other companies for marketing purposes and I can opt out of that if I wish.
    I do hope Vodafone did not give my number to Mobile Shop as I shall hold them responsible for the charges if I have no luck getting them back from the con-artists at Mobile Shop

    I too am a victim of this I get charged at least £9 per month - this has been going on since February - has anyone had any luck with this company?

    Vodafone arent helping at all - can anyone help?

    Have exactly the same happen to me - they took £3 three times. I rang Vodafone and a lovely young man has refunded me. However I want to stop it! Have phoned the 0844 numberand got a recorded message. What a con. I will contact Police if need be.

    My Voafone bill has jumped from £15.00 to over £50.00 because of this scam. have been given the following number by Vodafone to try and get a refund - I haven't tried it yet, but please feel free to give it a go.... 08445796359

    The charges started off as £9.00 per month but now it's £15.00 per month. Just phoned up Voadafone and they said I have to phone mobileshop myself on the 08445 number. I have never subscribed to any downloads and nor have I received anything from this number but Vodafone are adamant that I signed up to something with them.  Thankfully, my contract is coming to an end and never again am I going with Vodafone again, even though they tried their best to get me to renew my contract.

    My husband contacted Vodafone about charges on our sim only bill and was told this has been happening for months. I told them i had contacted them about a bill problem months ago and was told i had been recieving texts that were costing me and was told how to stop the texts, but this did not stop this thieving company from charging me for texts not being recieved and tones that i know nothing about. I have now sent an e-mail to this company and said if they do not get in contact i will be contacting trading standards as these people are nothing but common thieves who need locked up.

    I too have been scammed, had noticed that my bills had gone up a little but don't get paper bills (help the environment and all that) so hadn't really thought much about it. Finally been able to get online to look at my bills and I have been charged £15 per month since march, so the robbing B's have had £75 from me. Vodafone have refunded £15 as a good will gesture and have given me number to call as has already been added but by the sounds of it that does nothing anyway.

    They also gave me an email address of customerservice@expandingvision.co.uk so im going to send a rather nice email to them to get my money back. Doubt it will work but will keep trying.

    I feel sorry for the kids that are being scammed, that could use all their credit and leave them stuck not being able to call parents etc.

    More should be able to be done to stop them.

    I'm with vodafone and they have been great so far. This switchfire company has sent me over 180 messages on a 24hr period, my bill is £280!!!! vodafone cannot do much at the moment but they are trying to help. I rang the company and they don't care, they keep changing their story!!! HELP ME PLZ!!!!

    Just read your post as I was searching for anything related to Switchfire/Scam.  My 12 year old daughter's contract phone was reverse billed over £700 via premium rate text messages in April/May.  Apparently she had been dopwnloading porn videos night after night, sometimes till 3am.  Funny that I didn't notice - as she and her brother were staying with me in my 1 bedrrom flat at the time.  It was all bogus - but T Mobile refused to do anything about it and Switchfire obvioulsy would not refund me.  I tried for weeks to fight it, wrote to the MD of T Mobile twice (the last letter was 60 pages, full of evidence in my favour - including extracts from forums like this one).  Even ran the story ion the local press - but all to no avail.  Sickening to think that they can just get away with it and the network operators just turn a blind eye.  All about MONEY.  Disgusting.  Needless to say I will be leaving T Mobile as soon as I can.
