I received a call from this number 08450268990 when I picked up they put the phone down ,  I looked it up on google as I didn't k ow who it was , some people have said its phones4u some have said 3 ,bt I'm nt with either of them why would they be calling me ?? Some people have said the person on the other end has tried to scam them and others have the same story as me ? I'm extremely confused how and why they have my number and what is the purpose in calling me ??

Had a few calls from this number today. Decided to answer after reading the comments here. The caller claimed to be from Phones4U head office and gave the usual spiel about a mate giving them my number. Strangely, he couldn't name the person who supposedly gave my info. Told him to remove my details from their system and he said it would be done immediately. I have been told that once a person requests a company to remove his/her details, they must do so by law. C'mon peeps, do the same and eventually the [***] will go out of business.

Had three calls from these guys today alone.  Even saynoto0870.com doesn't have them listed.

I know how they got my number, maybe it's worth an email to them saying that I'm not happy with them selling my details on.

I've had 2 calls from them today, they've never rung me before. Missed the first call, answered the 2nd and was put on hold! Googled the number to see what it was and found this thread.

i got call from this number 3 times today. am i famous person? i dont know.

They have just started doing it to me now!! i havent answered yet as i didnt know who it was.. I'm not even with 3 network and didnt buy my phone from phones 4 u.. how did they get my number?!

PLEASE READ IT!
I just have been started called by tis number, but as I read this forum, I could see no one mention that they ACTUALLY CHARGE you even if you 'just' 'hang up them!!! I have a smart service on my phone, it shows when my balanced has changed... and after I DIDNT answer, JUST hang up them, it's taken a few penny of my credit!!!! (I know it not much, but as a lots of people mention here they calling 6-10 time a day! so just count it! If they drive you nuts, and you just hang up on them each time, all together quite a lot, and you even didnt recognized!!!!!! because it is just a "few penny"...)

So dont hang up, or answer, just put on silence and wait until THEY STOP calling!!! OR you will be charged for REJECT the call from them!!!

i just answered a call from this number and they said they were from the car phone warehouse, or fones4u or something.. head office in stoke, apperently someone i know reccomended me for a contract deal with them, they also told me the name of my friend which was correct. but i still felt uncomfortable about the call. it may just be for real though.. try and answer it!

i got the same thing exactly but there were actually able to tell me who reccomended me, and it was actually a friend of mine.. can't have been luck. did they say the head office was in stoke, but there other place was in nottingham ?

yesterday i missed the call.but she phoned me again this moring.i don't know what she means.is it useless or we just leave it alone?

they have called me loads of times for the past 3 days now why im at work they have called me like 6 times now how does a company get your number.

aaaarrrggggg!!! somebody make them stop!! Keep on getting calls from this number, when i answer they ask me if im marie and then hang up!!!  Why bother?
