They called me 4times today.Whoever they are.Phones4u or another company.They are a bunch of idiots.If they are selling products why dont they at least talk rather than calling,say nothing when you answer and hang up.If they happen to be phones for you i wont be buying their phones anyway.They can go hang

I have sent a letter of complaint to the company making them aware that if the calling continues i will be forced to take further action against them.
They get numbers by buying lists with telephone numbers on them and trying to recruit customers or putting large charges on the numbers so when the customers ring they get money.
I would urge everyone who has a problem with them to write a letter to the company and if it continues report them to consumer direct. If enough people do it they may eventually get the message!
It is a nuisance, it's making me want to get rid of my phone!
Does anyone know how to make your number private, like ex-directory?

i got three missed calls from this number yesterday and answered their call today..
its phone4u..apparently one of my friends has put my details forward so im eligble for a free phone..

This company just don't give up !

Not sure who it is as haven't answered the phone as they always ring in work hours, atleast 3 times a day. very very annoying.

Got rung by this number last night, didn't pick it up though coz I didn't know who it was. So I googled the number and found this page and after reading the posts, I honestly have nothing to do with Phones4U. Firstly I've always been on Orange pay-as-you-go and I'm very very careful who I give my mobile number too. They just rang me again 20 minutes ago and when I answered they hung up. I hope to god this aint gonna go on for months and months :l

these people keep calling me every day - leaves no message. am not inclined to call back as this looks like a phoney no. according to all the messages!!!

tried phoning me a couple of times, when I did eventually speak to someone and they said "is that so and so" I said no, no one by that name lives here and they said they would remove my number from their system ... let's see if it works???!!!

I got a phone call from this number this morning via my mums home phone. It was at about 7am and I was still in bed so my brother answered for me. Unlike everyone else on here they didn't actually hang up and spoke to him. They said that they wanted to speak with me about something I posted on the Internet? The fact that this is the first time I have returned home after a year away with no Internet access makes the statement on the phone seem strange. I have how ever had previous dealings with phones for you when I was looking for a new contract but they mentioned nothing about them being phones for you, nor did they show any intentions to discuss anything related to them.

Bought a pay as u go mobile from carphone warehouse on saturday, two days later i am getting calls from this number as thye have sold my number to Phones 4 u. When i asked where they had got my number from i was told one of my friends has given them my number when they took out a contract, when i asked which friend, she paused before giving me a name of someone i'd never heard of. I told her to take my number off the register so if i keep getting phone calls from them i will not be so polite next time.

Information = money and information like addresses, email addresses and phone numbers (let alone shopping habits, for example) are deemed valuable information which is sold from companies who may have legitimate reasons for them to have the information to companies who use the information to reach an audience.*
If it is indeed Phones4U calling from this number don't believe anything they say - I got badly scammed by the company a couple years ago because of this. My guess is that your contract may be running out within six months and they're looking to try and get your custom.

*This is sort of illegal, but very hard to regulate. However the continued calls are illegal and can be reported to the police. Check out consumerfraudreporting.org - there's a little more info there.
