Abingdon House Ltd Is a TRUSTWORTHY GENUINE company.

With all due respect, you would realise that our company is trustworthy if you had placed an order with us. Abingdon House Ltd is nothing like a scam company, or any company that you may have dealt with.

Businesses must legally offer a seven day cooling off period, which in your case you did take advantage of, this is exactly what Abingdon House Ltd complies with, and more.

There seems to be a lot of Publishing Houses in Merseyside giving the whole industry a bad name. Look it is not difficult to be polite and professional to clients. I cannot understand why people are scamming it and risking going to Jail and going through the proceeds of crime. You can run a magazine/publication professionally and correctly and still make a profit.

Abingdon House Ltd are not a scam, we only ever operate our business professionally and in accordance with all the relevant government guidelines and laws. The “scam” comments that are made on the internet are untrue and not how our business operates.  The comments made on the internet only accuse us of being a scam, but they have no substance what so ever.

I am also convinced that comments are maliciously made, (just like the one 'heather' has just made)either by competitors, or disgruntled employees, or persons who have been scammed by another company in the same industry, in effect tarring us with the same brush, even though we are not a scam.

People need to realise that negative comments made on the Internet really do affect the whole industry regardless of which company’s name is on the webpage. There are thousands of people who rely on their job in the publishing industry, and negative comments ultimately cost everyone. I don’t think people who make mindless defamatory comments on the internet realise the effects that they have on the whole industry and on the genuine company’s who are running a legal professional establishment.

Look if Abingdon House Ltd are scamming people, why are there not tens of thousands of comments on the internet, there are only very few out there and the ones that mention Abingdon House Ltd being a scam again have no substance to them what so ever. Why not come and visit us and see that we are not a scam, as I have mentioned in previous threads we are completely transparent.

Due to the comments made on the Internet Abingdon House Ltd actively seeks new ways to prove that we are not a scam. The industry may have a bad name, but not all company’s are scams.

It will be quite hard to stop the scam company’s out there, as one scam company is shut down another opens I can only advise people to BE VIGILANT ON ALL PHONE CALLS AND BE COMPLETLY CLEAR OF WHO IT IS YOU ARE TALKING TO ON THE PHONE. ALWAYS MAKE SURE YOU UNDERSTAND EXACTLY WHAT YOU ARE AGREEING ORDERING, AND REMEMBER THAT YOU ARE ENTITLLED TO A SEVEN DAY COOLING OFF PERIOD, SO YOU CAN CANCEL WITHIN THIS PERIOD NORMALLY IN WRITING. IF YOUR NOT SURE WHO IT IS YOUR DEALING WITH ASK FOR THERE NAME AND HEAD OFFICE NUMBER AND CALL THEM BACK.

For all person making defamatory comments regarding Abingdon House Ltd on this forum and who are claiming that we are a scam, why not give us permission to release any information that we have about you to the readers, which will prove that we have operated professionally. If you give me details via this forum with any references given on any paper work that we have sent you I will give our side of the story. I would like readers to be able to see both sides of any disputes, and show that our company has only ever acted professionally.

If you have placed and order with our company and concerned with the comments made on this forum claiming we are a scam, rest assure that we are not. Please feel free to get in touch with one of staff will be glad to answer any questions.

    Best Regards

    Jody,
Sorry to hear that!, Firstly we do provide all of our advertisers with a standard proof which we design on the information you gave us on the date that the order was placed, and the majority of the time we get the advert right first time. However there are some people who are not satisfied with the proof, due to a number of reasons, that we had suggested and that is why you are given your own personal graphic designer . You can change the advertisement as much as you like, you can use your own logo's colours etc.

We always state on our correspondence and on the website, if there are any changes that you would like to make to you advertisement you can send them back by either post fax or email, or you can phone the artwork amendment hotline, which again is stated on the paperwork, and discuss this with your own personal graphic designer, all of which are very experienced and will get you proof looking just the way you would like it.

If you not satisfied with any order you have placed just send everything back to us in the reply envelope that we provided you with, with a letter of cancellation. We do give all persons who place orders with the company a seven day cooling off period, whereby you can cancel in this period in writing. Even if its gone over this period, still send a letter in explaining that you do not wish to proceed, and put is in the picture of what’s going on. The best thing for you to do is hit this head on and communicate with us, if we cant get hold of you by phone or you ignore letters that we are sending you, how do we know what’s going on, as, from our point of view you have placed and order with our company and all is well, so please do get in touch.

Over the years there have been many thousands of people want to cancel once they receive the paper work for a number of reasons, who have just simply sent a letter of cancellation back to us within the time period of 7 day. Look where not sticklers to the seven day period, it depends on the circumstances of the order and the situation that the client is in. We don’t want to make people unhappy, we want people in the publication who want to advertise so as to gain there repeat business.

As with all business we will hold you to the terms you have agreed to, but we certainly don’t want to waste our time either with people who don’t answer calls to us and don’t reply to letters we send them, but we must communicate with the people who have placed orders in the publication to make sure firstly all is well and they are happy with there proof, and secondly to prompt for payment which they have agreed to. If people are having difficulty paying, then that’s no problem, we have in the past held payment off until they can afford it, or arrange payment plans where payment can be split up over several months, the main thing is they have kept in touch and informed them of the situation. We understand people circumstances can change quite quickly.

Ok with regards to the other calls that you have been getting, this is probably due to the fact of where we got you details from. We purchase business lists every few months for our sales team to cold call and pitch them to advertise our publication. Now along with ourselves purchasing your details, there are about another 20 other companies with different agendas, who also purchase the same data, and again cold call businesses on the list too. One can only assume that its these business calling you.

Now we are aware that certain business call people claiming to be Abingdon House Ltd, why? To try and trick you into placing another order with there company. We do ask for a password or reference of all of our clients and our admin and sales team will quote this number if you are unsure who you are speaking to, but if you are still not sure, then just email us or call our main line number back.

I hope this information as helped.

    Best Regards

This number is Abingdon House Ltd and it will just be a call to check if you are happy with your advert to be published in the SafeGuard magazine. Below is some frequently asked questions and answers which may be of help to you.

SafeGuard magazine is a community awareness publication, providing the latest information and advice on crime prevention, fire safety and first aid. The magazine is now firmly established as a trusted source of information and keeps going from strength to strength as distribution and readership figures continue to grow.

SafeGuard magazine highlights issues raised by the Police and other Emergency Services from around the UK. A wide spectrum of Charity organisations has already found SafeGuard to be a very useful publication as a way of gaining exposure and raising awareness about their campaigns

The target readership of the magazine ranges from the general public to serving members of the emergency services. SafeGuard does not have direct connections with the emergency services but does liaise with PR departments from across the UK, gathering news and content for the publication whilst providing a solid platform for various regional emergency services to keep the public informed about the latest issues affecting people’s lives, be it Anti-Social Behaviour, Knife Crime, or Swine Flu.

SafeGuard provides a platform for all Police, Fire, Ambulance, and Charity organisations to highlight their latest campaigns and initiatives.

We believe it is not enough for the police alone to fight crime. Reducing the risk and fear of crime is a task for the police and the community working together. The pages within SafeGuard contain basic information and advice to help you contribute to the fight against crime by protecting yourself and your property.

Our target reader is any member of the general public or serving emergency service personnel. This means we include content that not only appeals to the public but also front line emergency service personnel, administrators, and marketers.

Through the positive feedback we have received from members of the public, emergency service personnel, and advertisers we know that anyone who reads SafeGuard will find it highly beneficial and rewarding.

We aim to distribute 60,000 copies of editorial per year and there are four editions per year. Our national coverage is always increasing due to high advertising demand and interest from other sources.

Choosing to advertise with one of our publications gives you a comprehensive advertising package with outstanding value for money and great distribution coverage throughout the region for your company.

Our service is quick and simple for your convenience: once you have placed the advertisement order our skilled and professional design department will create an initial artwork proof tailored to your company details. This is then included in a confirmation pack containing all of the order details which is sent via post and e-mail.

Once you have received the advertisement proof any amendments to the artwork can be made until you are completely satisfied. Amendments can be sent in via e-mail, post and fax, alternatively minor changes can be taken over the phone.

You will receive a complimentary copy of the market leading magazine once its published.

I've had numerous calls from this company. Twice they've said they are (and I quote) "The Police Press office" and once they said they were a charity!! Lies to get you to buy advertising from them. Only at the very end of the call do you get a quick disclaimer telling you that they are in no way affiliated with the emergency services.

Tell me I'm wrong on this one Abingdon House, I'm a consumer, not a rival company. You are NOT the Police press office!
