I work for this department of T-Mobile and usually we call from the Dearne Valley call center in Yorkshire. If you hear a dead line this is because the dialler has dialled out to too many people than agents are available. Usually we have around 100 agents working on outbound at any given time. This line is SOLELY to promote mobile broadband at the minute but you may also be offered a laptop by the more adventurous agents.
I assure you it is the most horrible job ever, but fresh out of college and desperately seeking a job with a decent wage, this passes on 8 hours a day even though I do hate doing it and feel sorry for those on the end of the line.
Just reject the call if you arent interested in Mobile BB - 9.79/month unlimited usage for 24 months.

Number called me 2 times today, i managed to answer it went quiet then it hung up, i have called the number back before and it does state that it's T-mobile but i can never get through to anyone. WHY ARE THEY PHONING!!!

I use to work for T-Mobile customer services, we would always recommend registering with TPS, we can also add a feature on your account that stops T-Mobile (not any other companys pretending to be T-Mobile unfortunately) from using your number for outbound sales calls. If this is annoying you, phone up T-Mob (150 free from contract phone) and ask to be removed from outbound sales. Simples.

Three more calls today.  I missed two, and disconnected the third without answering.  Am registered with TPS.

I am also registered with TPS - makes a joke of the service.  Someone should take these guys to court they are just a waste of time for everyone.

Had two missed calls from this number, then when called again..eventually picked up and no one on the other end of the line.

Hi all, I can confirm this is t mobile. they have called me several times as i am a new customer and the call was to offer upgrades and new products now that i've been with them 4 months. They guy sounded like he'd never been to school but he was polite enough. I'd suggest answering and just explaining you're not interested-they have stopped calling me now. You just have to remember , they are only doing there job-trying to generate new business for their company. fair enough right?!

Just called now, no one on the other end... gave it 10 seconds then I hung up...

I read at work today that being included in the TPS does NOT exclude you from sales calls, instead when you sign a contract with T Mobile, you, without knowledge also sign to allow T-Mobile to call you at ANY time to promote ANY of their services (currently mobile BB)

To EXCLUDE yourself, please call 150 free from your handset and state you wish to be excluded. This works as you are removed from our dialler, permenantly. This is the only way to prevent such calls.

After lots of missed calls from this number! I finally had someone on the end! they said they were from T-mobile and trying to sell me a internet package! hopefully that will be the end of the thosands of missed calls now.

I just had the three calls thing that a lot of people have mentioned.  I rejected each, because I'm at work and only use this phone for emergency calls.  They didn't take the hint, of course.  I suspect I'll have to start using it for telling T-Mobile where to shove their advertising, too.

the caller hung up after a few seconds. hope nothing bad happens with this!

Just had this number call me 3 times in an hour but I didn't answer.
I work in a call centre and sometimes if it's an automatic dialler it'll call a few numbers at one time and then answer whichever one picks up first...could be something like that.

Had a missed call from this number and as I was reading this page they phoned back.
I answered and after a small gap there was a guy on the line who I asked (a bit forefully perhaps) to stop calling me. He said he would "take me off the list".

We'll see if that's the case...

It's T-Mobile, they opened the call by identifying themselves which is more than most do.  Supposedly a courtesy call.  It's actually a sales call, they're talking about broadband on the move - laptop rather than web and walk.  They were fine when I said not interested but I suspect I'll probably hear from them again ....

Theyve rang me 3 times within the last 45 minutes! I have a 10 month old I was trying to settle for bed and dont need them calling every 15 minutes at 6pm! Im with tmobile so makes sense but if they call again the phones being turned off!

got two calls from this number today. but no message. annoying as I'm out of the Country and its costing me a fortune.
