I keep getting calls from this number  08454290198. No one speaks it is a silent caller. Please can anyone advice who it is. Thanks

18 March 2016 - Recorded message about a Government Scheme because all homes need to have an A-rated boiler by the end of 2016.  Same voice and message as on previous calls on a different number.  Number now blocked.

My TRUECALL call blocker took this call (08454290198) at 11.52 on 16.03.2016. My phone did not ring, which shows that call blockers are the answer to nuisance callers. Conclusion..... to stop nuisance calls, install a call blocker, instead of continually complaining about the ineffective TPS. It's your choice.

Interesting.    Not one single post prior to NMS  mentions TPS.

These people called  twice in 10 mins, I am a housing association tenant why do I need a new boiler when I get mine replaced free.

Recorded message about government scheme for boiler replacement - garbage of course.  Report it to the ICO (Information Commissioner's Office).  No use moaning about TPS as they can't deal with recoded messages, only live calls.  I've reported to ICO, please do the same and eventually, if enough do, some action can be taken.

This call is an automated message (once again is about the Scottish Government boiler replacement - my boiler is reasonably new (silly me paid for it - should have waited for the scheme!!))  I am with the TPS already and stupidly I am sure I pressed 9 to be removed from the call list before but get so many cals that I wouldn't like to swear to it ,so am off to ICO to complain and to invest in a call blocker

Not had a call from this number but have one today from 08454290119 and the 0845429 bit of the number suggest these numbers are linked so keep a lookout for numbers starting with these numbers as I know there are loads of them about.

Totally agree with NMS.
I've got a BT8500 truecall cordless phone (£40 on Amazon for a twin) it NEVER rings unless it's from callers which I have allowed through. Never really been a fan of BT stuff but these phones are great
