- Beef Salad| 3 repliesDude is a scammer. If you get a call from your gas/electricity/ internet or financial Institute, collect all details you can from suspicious call, hang up and call your respective provider with the phone number provided by their website or as stated on bills provided. The world sucks, scammers scratch the bottom of the barrel of the lowest forms of human life

- Kim replies to Beef Salad| 2 repliesThank you so much for this. Ive been getting several calls a day from this number, but the calls go straight to voicemail thanks to suspected spam blockers by telstra.
For the 1st time in a long time, im overdue on my AGL bill. Ive never, ever received calls from AGL in the past that I can even remember. They sent the usual overdue notice, but nothing since. So I wonder, there must be someone who works within the bill dept. who can see who's bills are overdue, then either they, or someone else calls them with certain details and demands payment? I know big companies have payment plans they can put customers on to help through hardship, so i know its not the actual company itself calling. - post pending moderator approval
- Eliza replies to KimMy AGL bill is currently overdue for the first time also, and i’ve just received a call from this number so i think your theory is correct.
- Anon| 5 repliesReporting to be from AGL (girl sounded Philippine) - Calling in relation to my gas bill. Asked for my DOB/Email for verification purposes. The caller knew the name of the street i live on.
I refused to provide the details - i said i will call AGL directly and they said thats no problem and they provided me with the main AGL phone number.
i think the key here is to provide them with the wrong date of birth first to see if they call you out on it.- Caller: AGL
- Call type: Valid
- Anon replies to Anon| 4 repliesEdit: my gas bill is also over due so it may actually be AGL.

- Stella replies to KimI agree, it has to be an inside job. I moved house and re-set up a payment arrangement through Centrepay - within 2 days I received a very real looking email saying it had been cancelled and then several phone calls from this number a day since the middle of January. Meanwhile the payment was leaving my acct fortnightly as per the arrangement.
I called yesterday and was assured that I do not have a debt, the payment was being received and that it must be a scam.
They have just called this morning, again requesting my surname and D.O.B - when I told him I had called AGL yesterday and didn’t owe anything, he tried to end the call quickly and told me to call AGL on their actual enquiry line and recited the correct number, when I said ‘hang on, why am I calling AGL’ he said ‘the enquiry line’!! I told him he’s disgusting and hung up. - StellaSCAM AGL CALL….it has to be an inside job.
