who is it?

Very dodgy company, rude and aggressive, claiming i owe money but wont give me any info until i provide my address.  Avoid at all costs!  I have reported them, apprently there are many complaints against them.  if you get harassed, complain, complain, complain!

I had a call this morning (Wed 23rd Jan) around 10am that I didn't answer. Therefore an automated voice message was left asking me to call Westcot Credit Services. That name doesn't mean anything to me, so I Googled it and found this information which somebody very kindly put up here!
Thank you - I will not be calling them.

Advice to anybody else: Don't ever return a call unless it's an organisation that you are already familiar with. If they have a genuine reason for contacting you, they will try again by phone, and if they don't succeed with that, they will write to you..

So, Westcot, F_ck-off !!

I had the same number call me twice in one week, (Private Number), once today at 3:30pm 24 Jan 2008. Left the same message twice, an automated voice telling me to telephone this number. As i have no debts/finances/etc. i Googled it and found this useful post. Will be calling 02 and asking them to block this number.

Just found there website and found a contact email for them and wrote a letter asking why i had been contacted when i have never heard or had any dealins with them. I also said if i didnt receive a resolution or explanation to my problem them i would be complaing and reporting them.

Turned out that it was United Utilities who had passed me on to them for a debt of £209 which was from a flat i had left over a year ago. After a week of frustration been passed back and forth between the two companies it turned out they owed ME money! RESULT!
However i must say Wescot were ok with me on the phone, UU were crap and had NO qualified staff whatsoever.

They left me a voicemail with a reference number. Called them back and they were calling regarding my THREE bill, which had been paid days previously direct to THREE. The lady was very apologetic and not at all nasty - don't be afraid to answer they seemed fine to me, much better than some others I have spoken to.

THIS NUMBER CALLED ME TODAY AND ASKING FOR MY ADRESS AND POST CODE. THE LADY DIDN'T TELL ME ABOUT ANY THING BUT ONLY ASKING MY ADRESS....................
SHE WAS ASKING ABOUT DEBT ... I NEVER HAD THEM... AND SHE CAN NOT TELL ME WHAT DEBT IS IT?

Yet again I have had another call from this company... I point blank refuse to call them back as I don't owe money to them and I wish they would stop petering me and everyone else who has been bothered by them too

ASked me to ring them, who are they? I've no idea! Just ignored them after I've googled it!

just got a message left on my phone to call them back, but as i had never heard about them was a little aprahensive.  but when they kept phoning i decided to answer and they were looking for someone else who had supplied them with the wrong number. the company were very appoligetic.

This number rang twicw for me, each time they spoke to my children asking for me by name. When asked who was calling they repsponded with 'Westcot' It was a Scottish female that rang both times. They haven't rang back and after reading all tthe other postings I have no intention of ringing them back.

Some robot called me FIVE TIMES Very strange!!!

I have lost my letter!!

I got two phone calls from them and when I called back they said they had no reference of my phone number and wanted my name and address. Unfortunately, at the end I gave them my post code and name. Very scared of what they are about.

Why is that that no one does anything against them, who call us without having our details? Why do they want our address anyway?

I just had a call from them also.  Found the staff to be quite helpful, and they brought to my attention an unpaid bill from a previous address.  Gave me all the details to allow me to look into whether or not I've already paid the bill, and also all the amounts involved.  I didn't find the person I spoke to rude or abrupt in the slightest.

It's a bit annoying that I have an unpaid bill, but I can't blame them for that.
