This number doesn't call me but my phone seems to call it everyday at the same time (0141 hrs.)  It's costing me 7p every day and I don't know who it's calling.

I have an alarm, because it was there when I bought the house, but I have never activated it and the number the calls are charged to is quite new.

How can I stop them doing this calls or find out if someone has activated this alarm, this calls cost me 10 pence, in my last bill I had 92 so that is nearly 10 pounds I am paying I don't know why.

Who can I contact to solve this problem? Thanks

i ve got the same problem dont bother with ADT because they want £90 to disconnect the alarm that is not even mine it was the previous owners so any other ideas because the phone company wont help either by baring the number so i will have to continue paying £6 a month for nothing

Anyone with a monitored alarm from ADT in their home knows that the system calls that number each night to check on the health of the system - its a requirement I believe for monitored systems or at least best practice.

If you are not paying for monitoring then it does seem stupid if they will not deactivate the check for you.

I've just discovered I've been charged £6 a month extra by Virgin Media - for the last 2 years. I didn't know, as I have paperless bills - and only got the login details from them a while ago. We have an old ADT system on a rented house - and that is obviously why.

By the way, I had no idea that the alarm company "phones" 0871 2005019 each day, and charges you £6 a month (20p a day for this). That is mental.

I may get my DIY gloves on later and try to disconnect manually. If I have

ADT: I can safely say I wouldn't use their services in future.

ADT is the culprit!!!! 08712005019, I got a bill from Sky for £14.70 this month, ADT seems to be calling every 2 minutes today: 14:28, 14:30, 14:32. And this was just this afternoon!!! Is that how they make their money? It's a total disgrace.

I've noticed that this number I've called only when my land line was disconnected . So, I was charged for the calls that I haven't even made for two years, £1.10 per day. Someone is becoming millioneer, but.....I'm not leaving it to be....Virgin media and that prick who made that program will be prosecuted, I've just started to deal with it...wish me good luck and come forwards who were the victims..,,,

Adt will move you on to a freephone number but then add £1 + vat each month to your contract!
