said he was from bt, checked with bt but nothing to do with them. I have no outstanding accounts with them. pay dd all up to date . they say ignore. Caller was how ever very abrupt. not nice. silence on call back.

me also, received call, had a reference number and not an accoutn number as BT usually do. I have everythign on direct debit so nothing should be outstanding anyway. They wanted to take a payment. The automated system prior to speaking to someone also didn;t sound like BT, there wa sno professional response from the girl picking up the call. I aksed if she was BT, she said no and that they are outsourced - a company called CCSG(?). I said I will only speak to BT, she said she could transfer me but not get them to call me back. So how would i know i was speakign to BT after transfer? another bogus operator? I said unless BT call me, via my BT local business manager or write to me I wouldn't take the conversation any further.

Scam, They caled me, told that they from BT and I hav outstanding balance.
Than I call direct to BT, and they confirm that I don't have any outstanding balance on my account.

Legally you do not have to talk to anyone of the fools that are calling from CCSG as they are just a third party, They will call and say that they are BT when they aint, If you ask them if they are really BT they will say no, I suggest that you do not talk to any of the dimwits from CCSG

Got a call from this number, it rang only 5 cycles then stopped. I wouldn't have answered anyway as I don't know this number.

My telephone is ONLY there for MY use, not for others to do as they please.

In the USA, but apparently there is a company of similar name and purpose.  The call I got seemed to be from an offshore call center.  Started with some noise, a "Please hold while we connect you to a representative", and then got a person who was struggling to pronounce my name, then said they were from CCSG.  Kept having to ask them to repeat things.  Never said what they were calling about, because I said I'd never heard of the company.  Then they hung up.

The "Please hold..." recorded message gives an excellent opportunity to just hand up on these bozos.
