Be aware that Europcar car hire say on their website that calls to this number cost 10p/min. However, the actual cost was £4.18 for a 7 min call to their call centre. I was checking a Europcar hire booking made via EasyJet and they couldn't help me. I called the car hire desk in Spain who did help and the cost was 5p/min rather than 50p!
Something dodgy going on here. Don't expect the Ofcom watchdog to do anything. That's a dog with no teeth. Shame on Europcar for this. I can only vote with my feet and will avoid them in future. Do the same with companies using 0871 numbers whose call centres keep you hanging for a long time.

£1.16 for 5 min call to Europcar, so former loyal Europcar renter has now switched to hertz and other more honest competitors.

Yes that’s true I have the same experience, received mob ph bill like 55p per minute, then check the numb 08713849900, I think my husband calling this numb.

This is clearly a billing problem with your telephone carrier and not a subject for this website.
