Calls from 0871 are charged at premium rates because of greedy companies like Hypercom (also called Spire) the credit card machine manufacturer.  Their machines ARE VERY POORLY designed and are full of flaws.  The customer service is just awful.  I would be delighted to see them go bankrupt.

This number is a card machine and the only way to stop it is to connect your card machine to broadband I was trying for weeks to find out who it was. Now I have added broadband to my business I have just got my recent bill and NO CHARGES! I was paying £40+ a month now I pay £20 internet and have found alot of other uses for the internet can't believe I lasted 20 years in business without it!

This number has been calling my business landline many times in the middle of the night when I’m not there but my answer machine picks up the calls and charges me making my bill twice as much as normal.  My phone providers cannot stop it but advised me to unplug my landline and report this information.
