yeh just tried to buy some car spares had to text 87248 to regester cost me £2.50 ish its OPRATELECOM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have been charged for 5 texts from this number at  £1.25 per text. They were totally unsolicited and cost me a lot

Just spoke to my mobile network company. Obviously they have been swamped with the same query as me; 'why was I charged £2.37 and £0.51 after receiving an unsolicited message which I was forced to text STOP twice to prevent them from continuing to text me and charging me for it.' The company responsible for sending the premium message, is called Opera Telecom. They have obviously found some loop hole through which to slime their way through and steal out of the pockets of anyone they can exploit. I was provided with a telephone number by my mobile network company; 08718729899 - I will not be calling that number but I shall be researching the CEO of Opera Telecom, contact information and will be informing them exactly what I think of their underhand methods. No doubt they are called 'Fagin'!

I have just filed a complaint in regards to Opera Telecom with Ofcom via PhonepayPlus. This information appears on PhonepayPlus's 'About us' page.

In December 2007, it was confirmed that PhonepayPlus will act as the agency which carries out the day-to-day regulation of the PRS market on Ofcom's behalf.
