Just had a call from 08 8124 0682. A woman calling on behalf of Kmart Tire & Auto wanting to conduct a feedback survey.

I recently had my pink slip done, so my details must have been referred from that as she identified me by my full name.

That would make sense, 99% sure it was kmart doing a tyre and auto questionnaire!

Does anyone remember agreeing when going to kmart that you gave permission to be contacted back to provide feedback? Pretty sure they need to tell the customer before they give personal information to a survey company?

I had a missed call from this number today as well, I had my car serviced at Kmart Tyre & Auto about a month ago so I am thinking that is who it was.

Got a missed call from this number. Keep getting calls from random the same set of numbers all the time. You should keep a record of the calls on your phone and report it to the police. Don't pick answer their calls either.

Nathan:- Do they ask you for your personal details when you call to ask for your number to be removed????

If so, it would be soooooo stupid if you did, as they're trying to get your personal details in the first place!

I once returned one of these annoying calls and asked where he was from (as I had a missed call). He said he was from this company (can't remember the name) and said that I probably made an appointment with someone, but it was obvious that he wasn't from where he said he was. He then proceeded to ask me for my name and personal details. I then told him to stop calling me and that I'd report it to the police.

The calls from a few different numbers then stopped. It's been around 1.5 months now until they're starting again. Make sure it's reported to the police.

i have nothing to do with kmart. mitsubishi yes but (08) area code is Western Australia, not where i am from. interesting to note that the WA govt scam alert website  www.acma.gov.au has reported a recent spate of scam telephone calls relating to the qld flood relief appeal.

i received a call and when i went to answer it nothing was said on other end. when i did call it was a recorded message very similiar to others on this post.

Yep I too have had a missed call from this number and recently had my car serviced at KMart.

Hey everyone, I agree with all of you. I have had nothing to do with Mitsubishi. I had my old car serviced by Kmart Tyre and Auto but that was a long time ago. And I remember them calling back then and asking a survey about the service I was given. They were very polite. But i think its just something that has been re-routed to continue outbound calls automatically. I have since bought a new car, never had it serviced by them. But because my mobile number is the same, they would still have me on their list. This is what I think it is.
