I got a call from 088217000 who asked for me by name, then spoke incredibly fast that I couldn't understand a word they were saying, then asked for my date of birth. As someone who has a bad credit rating from giving out information over the phone, I hung up on them
I googled the number to find this site.

Well James. You are correcting people's spelling when you are typing 'there' instead of 'their', and it seems James doesn't work for another collection agency I think he works for lion finance. Hmmmm!!!

It's not as simple as that I talked to them made arrangements but now they are calling me again. Different people everytime..

They are idiots ... I had a ge account paid on time then undated my direct debit details GE failed to put new detail in correctly and in took monthly payments out instead of fortnight

I was living overseas so not worry about my account with them due to it being paid by direct debt

I returned to Australia to a number of letter saying I was 3 months behind in payment and if I failed to bring account up to date I would be defaulted and sue for full balance

I contacted GE but they had already on sold to lion ....so am I wrong to hang up I have explained and even forwarded details but loin finance only care about the money ... I have advised that I am willing to pay but they have said that the default can not be removed so why should I settle or pay GE made the error and lion think they can threatin me with legal action ....they not listen or care so I still work over seas and visit Australia once every 3 months
I still have same number and now and then receive calls from them ....but still they fail to understand that GE made the error and should fix the listing and I would pay in full

So lion finance are dogs that have no que or idea ......so yes they are a doddgy company

I continually get ph calls from this number asking me if I know the guy over the road & if I can go get him to come to the ph. I have a young baby & the ph calls are getting out of I hand, I pay my bills so why am I being harassed because some dead [***] (who I don't even know) doesn't pay his?
Not a good way to conduct your business, don't harass neighbours who have nothing to do with the matter.

this number called today wanting to find a person who apparently lives on my street and could I pass on a message....ahhhhh no I will not pass on a message and I will not give them any info about my neighbours!!!

This lot keeps ringing me. I have no debts, no loans and no need for these calls. It is harassment.

Hahahahaha. Knew you were a debt collector from your earlier comment. I often wonder about the type of person that gets off on harassing people over debts. Rather people who get rich from harassing people over debt which was most likely a debt from another company. The original company is the one who should do the chasing. But buying debt and then harassing is a bit low really.You won't be able to see it because its what you do and you will find ways of justifying it. Lion Finance is an appalling harasser sometimes. I have had to deal with these people and on and off they harass, sometimes 20/30 calls a day. Grotesque. Its just appalling, calls follow one after the other immediately as they attempt to force me or just terrorise me. I have been paying them for a debt for 9 years now, I am v poor person.Illness means I can no longer work. I am not young. If its more than 3 days late I often get the above treatment. Its disgusting and I am now so pissed off they can shove the whole lot up their you know what. I will give them my crappy tv from the dark ages. I am making inquiries as to how I can SUE THEM for all this harassment and distress.  I mean, I have been doing the right thing for 9 bleeding years!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have friends who are looking into this for me at no cost. So you know what Mr 'I am in the moral right' you take your self righteous smug pompous self and trot off to harass the next victim and threaten to take their household goods or car or just reduce them to a total nervous wreck and then you can say 'I have done a good days work today!'. Because what companies like yours do is try to intimidate 'nicely'. You train your staff on all the tricks, techniques etc  So, the guys comment above who said 'persecute' IS SPOT ON. I have the phone records to prove it and I am a person who has been paying for 9 years!!!!!!!!!!!!! The amount of distress is huge and I can sue for it, maybe to the turn of $150000 or more????

Dodgy is right. I have the legal right to receive proof of debt and they refuse to provide it. The will only sent me page one of the bill and I have requested the rest of it. They were telling me first that the don't have email access... BS! Now they are telling me the don't have to send me proof. I have to take their word for it... I don't think so. Definitely get legal advice before you deal with them.

I got chased by Lions once ....but I could run faster than the poor guy next to me. Worst Safari I have ever been on.

I have a outstanding debt (g.e) which went to lion fin we originally made a agreement with them and it was going to take just over for years to pay it of its now been two plus years and should only owe around 3k but it is so I rang them and asked why the lady said they stopped the interest for a year now they have put it back on and she told me it will take 78 months to pay it of can they do that ??? Anyone

This company is anything me they calling me every day plz stop calling me. Stop stop stop.

How can I block this number.  I have no debt and they rang and asked for my birthdate and address.  I of course refused to give this to them and they would not tell me what it was about so the call went no further.  I have been taught to never give personal information like this over the phone when you are contacted.   Seems very dodgy.  They refused to send me an email also to clarify company details and who I was talking to wouldn't give a name...

This number continues to ring me at least twice a day and the times I have answered theres dead silence, , no messages ever left, , and as far as I know I do not have any debts , , tried to return call ,  nothing , very annoying

Lion finance - debt collection agency.  Keeps on calling on home phone, however I know that I have no overdue debts so I do not answer. All companies that I deal with have my mobile number - which Lion finance has not called me on which suggests that it's some sort dodgy attempt by them.

This number won't stop I don't have any debt to a lion finance!!  Omg!!! 💀💀💀 even though I've  blocked it still vexes me. 😡😡

Have received numerous calls from this number of late, kept ignoring them until curiosity got the better of me. They asked for a person who I've never even heard of. Hopefully that is the last I hear from them.

I can't believe these guys! Won't say what it's about until I give them date of birth and license number?  I don't think so.
