Spoke to someone who called from this number. They knew our surname and address and said they had money to transfer to us. Accent was like the monies guy on fonejacker. Wanting to know more personal info and could not seem to tell us where exactly where the "money" was coming from and said it was from all the banks and would come to us from the head office of our bank.

Claimed the company was something like "Easy Claims" - however was not keen to give this and guess it was made up!

i had a call from an 088888888 number today, sounded like a indian male. again knew my surname, was rude, i then asked who he was he wouldnt tell me and said if i want to know who he was to google,facebook or twitter, by this point i was really pissed off!! if i could have got down the end of the phone to him i would have ripped his f**kin head off!!! fuming!!!!!!

Got a call today from 08888888888 sounded like an asian male claimed he was from mircrosoft and told us we were having problem with our computer which he could solve. When i challenged him he became very aggresive, put the phone down while he was ranting.

I got a missed call from this number today. I'm wondering who is the owner of the number. I encountered this type of number just this day ever since.

I had a missed call from 08888888888 a couple of weeks ago and then another call a few days ago. The caller was very polite (even smarmy), saying something like, "Good evening Ma'am" and the only thing I remember after that was the word 'claims'.  I was on my guard straight away as he did not say a company name on whose behalf he was calling.  I simply said, "I do not wish to take this call, thank you!" and put the phone down.

I was so irritated I didn't even want to go into how he got my details or have a conversation at any level; it would have put me in a worse mood than it already had....just the pure cheek of it.  I would have ended up giving him a right ticking off.

I'm British but currently living on the Galapagos islands. I get a missed call from this number & a withheld number nearly everyday, luckily I've never answered the phone & will be sure to keep ignoring it now. Thanks

In recent days i have received three calls from this number, and when i answer no-one appears to be on the other end.  Is this a scam or is someone sending telepone viruses?

I got the same persons call,i had this call but did not replied 5 or six months ago,when it was summer in Pakistan.Yes,i confirmed the same claimed that the caller belongs to sub continent(india or pak),when I talked with him,he tried to escap due to my natural harsh ascent (i belongs to a pakhtun"pathan" tribe.
  I will be greatfull if some one has or can provide some info abt this no.

Del numero 088 88 88 88 888 me llaman para hacerme ofertas de inverción, estoy seguro que es un fraude, quisiera saber de donde es este numero, ayuda, no se como denunciar.

Got a call - its interesting talking to a computer - for a laugh ask some randon questions like who is the primeminster of Ireland or what day of the week is it. Its a scam, virus on your computer. I wish ofcom would ban telemaketing calls from aboard. They should have the power to ban the number from British Land Lines. MP's WAKE UP

Asian gentleman,  knew my surname, wanted 2 minutes of my time to do a health check,  bet it was scammers trying to get my personal details, wasting their time, he soon hung up,  ive got better things to do.

ask them where they are from, and  you will put a curse on them or  go to youswear.com   find swear words in their language  they soon get the message

An Asian man claimed to be from the telephone preference service and it was regarding a complaint that I had made. I have never contacted the TPS as they are next to near useless. I pointed out the irony of a company that dealt with the prevention of nuisance calls was actually making a nuisance call but he didn't understand and then hung up on me. Clearly not the sharpest tool in the box.

I remember getting called by this number years ago, Some dude with heavy but pronounced American accent, and he said that I won the DV-Lottery, funny thing is I was 12-13 years old then.

Have received several calls from this number over the past five days. Never answered due to how odd the number appeared. Figured out how to block the number today and an hour after doing so we received a call from a 077777777777 number instead!
