Received a call on 11/11/12, Remembrance Sunday, no reply but the call cost ME over £5?

called me on 2/1/2013 what is this number

I have just received my phone bill. There were 2 charges regarding this number - both on 30th May. The first for £0.74. The second, was £10.44. I regard this sort of thing as criminal. I wasn't even at home!

Phone providers could quite easily block this sort of scam call or refuse to collect payment and forward it to the criminal

My phone provider is Bluecherry. I have asked them for the name of the person or business using this number. There is surely no reason for them to decline to give it

I have also asked them to forward information to the police.

It's time we stamped this sort of activity out

According to Phonepayplus, which regulates Premium Rate numbers, this number is owned by a company called Journeycall Ltd and relates to Megabus, which is a bus service in the USA and Canada. The number is for booking tickets, getting timetables and  checking fares.  The customer care number for Journeycall is 0871 2663333 (Check out "say no to 0870" for a cheaper number.  This is not a police matter so try 'phoning Journeycall and, if you have no luck, contact Phonepayplus.

Got charged £5.07 when nobody was even home.

I have been charged 6.25 from a call from this number???
