I have just recieved my phone bill and it shows that i have made a call to 09083916319, for 20minutes and charged me £25.62, Which i have never made.

I have filed a complaint to  Virgin Media regarding a call made from my home number to   09083916319 for 18.17 minutes (charged for 19 minutes).
I am waiting for the outcome but I suspect this could be result on any incoming call which offer you to chose option number for more information.

Same issue with this dodgy number & Virgin Media. Still waiting for a response from them... cant understand how this people get away this in 2009! Crooks!

Yeah got this on my virgin phone bill too, never diled this number and have been charged 21 pounds for it.

Furthermore, I know this wasn't a call in which I had to press a number to listen to more info, because I wasn't in, I was at work. I'll take it up with Virgin, point them to this page, and if they don't reimburse me, and block this number, I will cancel their services,as I think it amounts to negligence on their part that they are allowing their customers to be scammed by an obviously KNOWN scam.

Well, I reported the call to Virgin, and they have been excellent! Majid, from customer care explained how the scam works, and that if it happens to their customers they need to know so they can take action on it.

I have been  reimbursed the call cost and at my request a block has been placed on premium numbers (which I never use anyway). So I'm happy that they have taken the time to sort it out and explain what has happened.

I'll be staying with Virgin after all.

yes i am the latest victim of this scam i check my virgin phone bill today and shocked to se this number is include in my bill,i never make this call and virgin billed me £20 for this call.i will notify and complained to virgin tomorrow.

Yes - just checked our bill and had the exact same SCAm applied to our virgin bill. Just calling now to find out how this happened - be interesting to see what they did! Also good idea blocking all premium calls out.

Also received this number on my bill, virgin refuse to do anything.  They want to send out a faults technician to the property,  if they decide I have made the call, they charge £99,  they say they have not received any notification as yet that this number is a scam, but when they get enough complaints about the same number - that have been reported by their technicians, they will add it to the list,  So anyone else, you need to let them come to check at your house otherwise the fault will never be added to your list

We have just recieved a bill from Virgin for £28.17 from this no. which nobody made. This is now in dispute and we are waiting for Virgin to sort this out. As for blocking premium rate no.s, Virgin want to charge £2 a month for this!! I am beginning to wonder if it's not a scam by Virgin to get more money out of it's customers! Am not happy.

The same happen to me as well, £28.17 was charged for 22 mins, called virgin, and they will refund me on next bill...
