Just recieved a call today but luckily I did not noticed it and sent a text, no reply. Scammer

i got call 3 times morning and evening since last week

I can confirm, at least, that it is from Unionbank in January 2023. This was the number that called me after I submitted an inquiry regarding credit card applications in Unionbank's official site, and it was a Unionbank rep that talked to me at the time (had my info, ticket number, and details of my inquiry).

But, I've been getting spam calls from this number once or twice a month since July. And every time I pick up, there's no response. So I'm not sure if scammers highjacked the number, or they're masking the numbers, or maybe Unionbanks automated call system is bugging out.

I requested UB to block my credit card yesterday due to unathorized transaction. Today, I have received a call from this number saying that my card waa charged $157. A computer voice asking if the the transaction was valid, press 1 and if the transaction is not valid, press 2, so they will block my credit card. My credit card was already blocked so I believe this call is a scam.

they are to confirm regarding a transaction attempt on your card that alerted their Security system, in which they declined the attempt, restricted your card immediately and send SMS notifs to the client regarding it.
