- TrooperJoe replies to Ruff Dimond| 2 repliesYep, we've just had that as well. Answered, silence, then they hung up after a couple of seconds. Got the number from a 1471
- SueI received a call today from Justine claiming to be from British Telcom, no came up on display and when I did 1471. Other than asking for my by name, how I was today, he hung up. Try to ring back, no not available.
So rang up BT, their answer was to google it!
Did they care someone was claiming to be from BT, not really.- Caller: British Telcom
- LindaI had a call from an Indian man saying he was from BT and was going to stop nuisance calls and I would get some money back if I had even one. He wanted to know my date of birth, when I said I won't give it he hung up!
- Jack Phoenix| 1 replyWe get calls every now and again from this number - just a bunch of scumbags, don't answer it and don't call them back. They will eventually get a real job and stop bothering the rest of us.
- Anonymous| 1 replyMy mother has received a call from 0987654321, saying that they have been monitoring our calls for the pass 2 Months, they said they were calling from BT Telephone Services, it sounded like a foreign man calling, they've tried to called for the past 2-4 days, they were saying that for £21-£25 they can stop all these nonsense calls and advertisers, they told us they have most of our details except what are on the credit card we have with us, they asked for the details (obviously) and then, I asked my mom to give to phone to me and let me speak, I said can you tell me how many calls that are advertisers etc. then the guy hung up. We were a little worried as he knew some information, so then I got a (Real) BT Customer Services number from the BT website and they said this is not BT do not give them ANY credit card etc. information so we did not. We are know informing our bank. To others who receive this, do not even pick up the phone even try to block the number.
- Caller: (FAKE) BT (NUMBER
- David in KingsburyGot another call based in India, he hung up after saying hello this time but seem to remember they tell me to leave BT and I tell them I'm not on it and they hang up. 0987654321 is a mask number used by software to hide the real number and allow calls through to people who block withheld numbers.
- Kevin ManleyI have just had a call from this number.
I couldn't make out what they were saying but there was a muffled sound which was someone talking.
I did the 1471 and got 0987654221 as the number.
I nearly rang it back until the penny dropped with the number sequence. - FairfranHi everyone, I think I have solved the mystery. Not prank calls, but calls made through a "dialling service". How do I know this?
I had a call today from a business untility agent, who had spoken to me months ago.
When he called back at my request, the 0987654321 appeared again on my phone, so I asked him what his number was, to get back to him, and why was this number appearing.
So hopefully, that's the explanation, and though "Indian sounding" as a previous poster said, he was actually calling from London [could have been Glasgow, Brum or Leeds for the same accent!!]
Hope this helps, as I have been driven mad before by these marketing calls...
Cheers,
Fairfran- Caller: Business Save
- Call type: Event reminder
- chris replies to AnonymousI had the same call today, told them if I wanted to have this service I would Call BT myself and put the phone down. If they ring again I will answer and put the phone in front of the TV and let them listen to that. Hopefully theat will block thier phone for a while
- Silas| 1 replyHad a call from these idiots twice in the past week. First time they claimed to be from Debt Management Council of Great Britain, then after I was put through to a manager, that they were called Future Solutions.
They've just called again today, claiming to be based in Manchester - despite the heavy Indian accent and the appalling telephone line - and they're "ringing everyone in London" who is "in debt". They claim to have a list of names and that there's unsecured debt and that they will freeze the interest and make it one payment.
They have no actual details of any debt. They try and get you to give you the details. Once more I was passed to a manager who said they were Future Solutions. When I said I hadn't solicited the call, was registered with the TPS and wanted to know why they had called me, he said "Thank you" and hung up.
Having read through the thread, I can also confirm that this same number rang me a few weeks back (maybe a month or two, time flies) and claimed to be the TPS who wanted to charge me money to go on a no-call list. Told them in no uncertain terms to go forth and multiply.
I have no idea whatsoever who Future Solutions are, where they're actually based, or what they're supposed to do.- Caller: Future Solutions
- Silas replies to SilasAnd they've just called back!
Bloke with a South African accent this time. When I asked him where they were based, he said Manchester. When I asked why his phone number wasn't a Manchester number, he said it was because it was an internet call and if I was to ring back on it, it wouldn't work.
Then the standard patter about "I've been told you have outstanding debts". Told him his information was incorrect and he wished me a good day then hung up. - LunaI live in Scotland in the UK, I got a call from +1 098 765 4321.
I think +1 is an American area code?
They called me once yesterday and I let it ring out. They called me again today and made a noise and then hung up. I'm not going to answer again as it costs lost to answer calls from abroad.
The numbers on Business Pro Designs are different to this tone. I don't think theyre the same. No-one asked me for anything or tried to sell me agying they just hung up. - mr nonameDON'T ANSWER IF YOU HAVE CALLER DISPLAY. dON'T RING BACK IF USE 1471 - IT'S STILL HELPING THE SCAMMERS/PHISHERS!
- Caller: SCAM ARTISTS
- YanJust had a call at 15.52 on 6 October 2010 supposedly from a telecoms company called East Talk. Heavy foreign accent but I think they were telling me my telecoms bills are about to be reduced. Put phone down before they had finished, but they had my telephone number and address. Who are Easy Talk. Does anyone know? Certainly not my provider.
- Caller: Easy Talk

- Future Solutions replies to BryaNHNHi. I work for Future Solutions in London. I haven't provided my name as it would give the callers a real name to deal with. We are aware of these calls and they are causing us a great deal of frustration. When we are informed of such calls, we report them to City of London police, and have been advised to post the following information on our website:
It has been brought to our attention over the last few months that individuals around the UK are being called from an overseas call centre about their financial arrangements and that the callers are indicating that they represent Future Solutions Financial Consulting Limited, from London. This is not the case and we have no links to the organisation making these sometimes quite unpleasant and intrusive calls.
It is our understanding that the calls have involved items of information which may have been added to the internet (or at least to appear relevant to the individuals being called) and the calls have used some of this information, in order to try to get further financial details and personal data.
Aside from wishing to ensure that it is clearly understood that we have no links to the people or organisation carrying out these calls, we would encourage everyone to be sensitive to the need to keep personal data confidential. The calls have not been targeting clients of Future Solutions and appear to be quite random, aside from the fact that they are using correct identifiers and have access to either home or work telephone numbers.
We would encourage everyone to:
Seek to identify any caller who is asking for personal information and if it may be genuine call them back on a number you can check
Do not provide any additional information, even confirmation of whether you have a bank loan or such.
Never give out your bank details over the phone – your own bank will have these already. - HelenaA foreign sounding guy called Michael just called and asked to speak to a Mrs Durie saying she had some debts of £1000 on her credit card. I asked for his number and he would not give it to me so I hung up.
