I agree, this is very creepy.

An hour or so ago, my husband and I both got the same text messages on our cell phones, his was from Maureen and mine from Racheal. Did some looking and it comes from Britain and it is a spam to pay someone to talk dirty to you. Was told to text back and ask to be removed from their call/text list! And then just ignore and put your cell phone on the do not call list. Hope this helps!!!!

I got a text from a Robin saying she saw my profile online,and asked would i like to chat via E-Mail. I thought that odd because I do not  have an online profile that Iknow of.... I texted back and got no reply...////?????What's up w/that

This appears to be "spam" coming from an IM web page.  I wish the cell phone companies would put a stop to this crap.

mine came from Martin asking if I needed someone to go out with on Friday night. Yeah - I need a date for friday, sat, and tonight, but what the hell?  thanks for rubbing it in.....
our numbers must be on some list - has anyone every purchased a ringtone?

Got this text on my cell phone on Jan 12. But I got it 4 minutes after leaving a message to someone. Coincedence? All the same person? You guys should give a geographic location. she says she saw my profile online and asked if she wanted to chat and email her back ?/??? wat should i do ?

Unsolicited message received 18 Jan '08, 14:30(East Coast USA)on a Net10 sytem cell phone:

"Dewitt@macrobiotic.com[GTGB]Are you wanting someone to go out with Fri.:www.attemptingmindbe.com"

Identified by Net10's Call Center as "Sender 36245". Note: the cell phone is anonymously operated (i.e., not registered in the user's name, time-unit cards being bought at stores with cash).

I also recieved one and it said:
