1016

I am getting multiple calls from 1016 and they are leaving messages asking me if I want my subscription, press 1 if not press 2.  I wouldn't ever do that but i've gotten 4 of them yesterday and now my phone and the caller id said it was 6.

Got a call today about renewing my windows defender software.  Said it was going to be $299 or I could cancel just had to verify the account info. Yup not happening and they are still calling.

Same as you is happening to me. I've been called six times today with the machine saying something about taking $200 out of my account. If I agreed press 1, or press 2 if I disagreed. I did not talk and I did not press 1 or 2. There doesn't seem a way to stop them so I hope they get tired of me not answering or picking up the phone and not saying anything. Just go back to the phone when dial tone comes back on eventually.

+1016–Since thanksgiving 2018, this recording started and they say that $299 would be taken out of my bank account. I am calling my bank to inform them of this scam, and ask that if something happens to my account, that it be reported to the police b’cos it’s a scam.

This appears to be a version of the computer scam. Doubt they have any info on your bank account, they likely don't even know your name upfront.

I have blocked this number but they are call with a different number like +(1)1111111111, or 6 or +1016. Why are people so wicked?

Calls and no one speaks

I have received several calls from 1020 and 1016 today.  They continue to call, eventhough I do not answer.  So irritating.
