looks Like I'm not alone on this 1-111-111-111 number. I don't answer calls that I don't know. I was at work when this number came through. I will be contacting my company at AT&T and will talk to the tech dept. Plis I will file with the FCC and let them know another person was called with this number. Glad I googled this information. Maybe with all the calls to the FCC we can get this stopped.

keep getting these calls from this number . would like it to stop have not pick up on it but if the kids grab the phone they might. I want it to stop , What can i do

Someone called me from a local number, and when I went to answer it, my cell phone dialed 1-111-111-111 by itself.

If they're trying to highjack my number, they picked the wrong number to do so... I'm on a prepaid plan. Suckers!

The call came at 10:32 pm MST. It only lasted three seconds, and it ended from their end, not mine.

I will be calling my cell phone service provider in the morning and ask them what's up.

This # could be any business.  For instance, Blockbuster uses it.  When I have movies out I will get a call from 1 111-111-1111.  A few seconds after I answer it, an automated recording will come on the line reminding me that I have movies and when they are due.  My understanding is any company can purchase this program to have this show as their caller i.d.

i just recieved this number on my phone and then they hung up wtf? who the hell is it???? I answered it out of curiousity should i be afraid?

I am getting calls from 111-111-1111, no name appears. If I answer it i just hear a beep. What and who is this

I get 5 to 10 calls a day from this number.  Does anyone know how to stop it & who it is from.

Don't you folks realize that youi are being "SPOOFED".  Go to website spoofcard.com for more details-- allows a caller to have any number input on caller ID display-- where else do you think 1111111111 is comming from???

I was receiving calls from NCO a collector. I blocked all unknown callers who don't show an ID. Immediately thereafter, I got calls that the ID shows "Colorado caller" or "california caller". when I didn't take those calls for a week, i have now started receiving calls from 1-111-111-1111. When I take the call, it hangs up. It is an attempt by credit collection companies to harrass you into unblocking the blocked calls. They will call all hours of the night. Interestingly enough this is a debt that was less than $90 and was disputed and over 9 years old (four years past the state statute of limitations). In the recent Bankruptcy Abuse and Consumer Protection Act our Congress, thanks to lobbying efforts of the credit card companies, passed legislation that gave such a boost to collection companies. Back when, many a person filed bankruptcy just to stop the creditor abuse even when the debts were too old to be owed. Now they can't. They have to suffer these unwanted calls. So the collectors beefed up their ranks. Even though the debt is too old to collect or was paid, these collectors harass people in hopes of getting a mafia protection payment. I say write you Congresspersons as well. That act did not contain a CONSUMER PROTECTION and is a misnomer.

1-111-111-111 calls 2-4 a day. No one answers.. Change cell phone settings from "flip to answer" to "hit any key to answer".  It's a extra step to answer my calls but allows me ignore the call by silencing the ring without picking up the call.

We have had a few calls from this number, each a few days apart.  No message was left.  My guess is that it's a political organization or poll, but who knows.

I just got a call from this number this morning.  I did not answer it, and looked up where it might have come from and found this site.  For me, it was an automated system calling me for a test scoring project in upstate NY.  I used to work for them, and they were just calling me back to work.
There are several companies using this number, not just banks and credit collectors.

I was looking up a number that called me and saw this.  I got a call from a New York Times reporter at work the otheer day that showed as 111-111-1111.  the number meant nothing and is a switchboard thing, nothing more or less.  And the NYT reporter was a boring business reporter call, nothing interesting.  You need more info than 10-1s to sort anything out about the call.

Got 12 calls yesterday from this # and 7 calls from 000-000-0000 all on my unlisted # first for both these #s , All during the day while i was at work , No message on machine and thankfully no calls at night.

As an office worker I am very annoyed with these calls.  We get them about ten times per week.

I received this number too. It was connected to an employment service I use. I guess they use an outside service to make calls. I didn't answer it, I let it go to my voice mail. I was a computer generated voice.

I got a call from 111-111-1111.  It was a woman asking me to take a survey?  I told her to take the survey and shove it up her ass!!  I told her to remove my number!!

i didnt get a call but my [fortunately] trusting partner received a text message with the correct spelling of his and my names 'informing' him of entirely false and personally damaging things. i am sorry to bring up something so melodramatic but it was hurtful and i would like to try and find out who sent it. does anyone know of any way to track text messages received from 1111111111 numbers? or am i just out of luck.

At first these calls started about 1 - 2x/wk and the past month they're calling more than once a day and at the worst hours (1am, 5:39am). I answered once and got those same clicks then a disconnect. I even called that number back once and a recording said "1m2, your call cannot be completed as dialed. I'm in Canada so it can't be Frist National Sioux whatever... and frankly I don't care. The cell-phone company says they can't do a thing but suggest I change my #. It's my only phone/business line (no landline) and changing it would mean giving over 200 people my new number and hope that I don't miss clients.... What to do??
