Got this missed call +1 118. anyone rec'd such call b4?

No message, just "1118" on my call display as a missed call..... anyone else? Has anyone actually answered it?

This was one of three calls from three different four-digit numbers all starting with "111" I received last night - the first two were "dead air" calls.

The third call was a little unusual.  "James" from "Virtual PC Doctor" informed me that my computer had an "electronic malicious junk file".  It was not a virus.  It arrived via various means (including web pages and e-mail) through "gateway of internet".  Gotta love that idiomatic east Indian English!

My response: "I am not sure what gateway of internet is.  Please tell me more."  After repeating my request he hung up on me.  Off script I suspect.

At no time did he request access to my computer and he didn't go after my credit card.  No scam here.  Not yet anyway.

Now, just what is "Gateway of Internet"?

Been getting the call on my cell.  had my son answer yesterday while I was driving.  Caller asked for me by name and then told my son he will call me back later but didn't identify himself.

Missed a call this morning from this #.

This number plus three others calls persistently all day.. When I answer the phone, it gives this squelchy beep noise, and then hangs up on me. If I ignore it, it goes to my voicemail and leaves the same thing as a message.
So annoying, it's been going on for months.

I got a call from an unknown number yesterday saying that I was on a survey they did 1 out of 7 people got drawn and then today i got a call from 1118 saying the same thing couldn't really tell what the name of the company that they were talking about because they had a thick accent and could tell that they were not from the united states

Got a called from this #1118768641699 I rejected the call then left a vm said 'hello  hello  and foreigner voice in back ground

I've been getting calls from strange numbers that were only 2-4 digits, I finally answered this # 1118 the guy had an accent saying he's calling from the "grant department  of the United States" and all he needs is my add to send the $$. When I asked what department and how did I get a grant I never applied for, the phone disconnected. Anyone know what that really was? Scam most likely !

Just got a ca from number 1118 asked for me stated federal grant and I said don't call again guy with weird accent said I will keep calling you again and again and hung up

What in the hell are these stupid numbers I get during the day?? Stop this!!!  Pissed.
