How does a number have 4 digits?

Got a call from this phone number telling me my computer just got hacked

How in the world do these people get away with calling a 4 digit number? This is getting tiresome. Can anything be done about this?

I received the same call from +1192 claiming to b Microsoft stating someone in the Netherlands was trying to hack into my computer. I'm sure it was a scam call. Told him I didn't have a computer & he claimed he had a license no. & offered to give it to me. I told him his info was wrong. He said he was going to block the computer & no one could use it. We'll see. I still say it's a scam.

Telephone number 1192???  Yeah, right!!  Left no message so I'm sure it's just a SCAM!!  Don't answer!!

I get a call from this number all times of day - a woman says something like "all right"

I get this call daily. I don't pick up. Whoever you are get a real job!

Getting numerous call daily. 4 yesterday 3 today and it's only 11am. Annoying! They try different numbers. Like +192, +1192, +11192

hourly calls from "unknown 1192" Using 4 digits prevents blocking.
