My cell phone rang this evening and when I went to pick it up I inadvertently pushed the mute/busy signal button.  When I looked at the screen it was showing just the number 12000...I opened the phone and heard the end of an automated message saying there was some fraud problem on my debit card and to press "1" to reactivate the card.  No company name was given.  I did not press 1 and disconnected the call.  I immediately went onl,ine and checked my debit card and there was no problem and I had not received an email from my debit card provider.  This is most likely a fraud scam itself.

I got a call in the middle of the night saying my debit card was suspected of fraud and they named a local bank but it wasn't my bank so it had to be a scam of some sort. I don't know how the got my phone to display 12000 though.

I just got a call from "1(200) 0" it said something about an account of mine being locked and was going to transfer me to a represenative so I waited and got hung up on.  I called back and the automated machine says "We're sorry your call is not authorized for use in this area at this time, for further assistance dial 611. Message WA89460."  When I dial 611 it takes me to the T-Mobile customer service.

Ya, I got a call from this number too. They can still use your card on some websites that do not require this number. I would suggest calling your bank immediately and cancelling the card if you haven't already. This is probably a scam that is from some other country, not the US, that steals debit card numbers. I got a call from them at about six in the afternoon and they called me twice. I'm not gonna call them back but I think that it would say the same thing. I'm on T-Mobile too. Which is the strange thing.... So I don't know what's up.

Same with me. They called and I found their 12000 number and "name unavailabe" on my phone ID. Their message says they are from IRS and told us to call the number provided. Beware of scams like this which target the elderly.  The IRS never contacts tax payers by phone, only by mail. Also, 12000 is not an IRS number. If you know how to block this number or unwanted calls please share the infor with us.

I had a call from this number saying they are collecting money on an outstanding payday loan. She said her name is Jennifer Anderson and she was calling from the department of pre-trial processing. It isn't even possible that I would have a payday loan but what scared me was she knew the last 4 of my ss # and my email address. How could they get this information?
