I think I got scammed from someone I gave my banking details from a supposed westpac employer

I think I may have been scammed out of my banking details to a so called westpac employee

They left message on my mobile voicemail to contact them claiming they are from my bank. I called back giving my personal banking details to verify that they were talking with correct person. They asked more questions than they should but only after I gave them my card number. I really think I've been scamm Rd and contacted my bank

Received a call from this number after hours. As I didn’t recognise number I let it go to voicemail. The message left asked me to call this number. I checked on a Westpac website and number doesn’t appear. I rang another number that I knew was Westpac and they did not know the name of the person or the number. Believe it was scammer. Grateful that I didn’t give information.

No it’s not Westpac- you must be part of the scam.Checked with Westpac and they verified it is not a Westpac number.

Bogus call from a number withheld  c laiming to be from Westpac on a weekend.  Offered Offered 1300136138 when challenged.

Subsequently learned that 1300136138 is a genuine Westpac number, but it was offered up by the scammer when challenged.  Subsequent checking there revealed noone there knew of any call to me.  So, the scammer called from the Private number (i.e. withheld), and Westpac subsequently confirmed it was a scam call.  The young woman scam caller was well spoken.

I got 2 Calls from unknown numbers , both "aussies" from Westpac , they had my name and DOB but when challenged they offered the 1300 136 138 number to call back.

I called Westpac direct from the mobile app and they checked my accounts , no red flags.

Woman rings my wife, says from Westpac, gets upset when challenged, wants bank details. From a private number.  Now I get 2 calls from private number, woman left msg to ring westpac on this 1300136138 number.  Seems to be legit Westpac number.

But I think what is happening is the scammer tries to look legitimate by leaving Westpac number, but when she finally does call and you answer, you actually think it is a Westpac person, when it's actually a scammer....

I received a call from an 'unknown' number. A lady with an Australian accent, claiming to be from Westpac. She knew my full name and d.o.b and asked for my mobile number and address. I declined and asked for a number to call the bank direct.
She provided 1300 136 138. I ended the call and searched for the number on the Westpac website. No results.
I called anyhow and was greeted by the familiar Westpac automated message. Interestingly I did not have to make any menu selections. After waiting a short while a lady with a kiwi accent answered. Again I was asked to identify myself. I did so (somewhat reluctantly) after which the lady was able to relay account numbers and balances so all seemed ok. Got the situation sorted and ended the call.
I logged onto the Westpac app and phoned customer service from there. I spoke to another lady with an Australian accent who checked notes on accounts and confirmed it was indeed Westpac employees I had spoken to.

Just to help everyone… This is a legitimate number for Westpac financial hardship team. I haven’t had a call from this number but have been given this number to call to get directly through to the financial hardship team.
If you’ve filled out the having troubles paying, or need to talk to someone regarding your home loan payment difficulties then this is the number to call.
I’m not sure whether Westpac calls from this number when contacting you for missed payments or if you’ve left a message trying to re-negotiate your loan/payments though, I’d assume they would call from a private or other number when contacting you.
