    I just got a text from this number, but saying it was a message from my phone company (Verizon), that someone had just opted to transfer one of my numbers out, and to cancel the request I needed to reply with "CANCEL." I did it automatically not even thinking, but realized after I did that Verizon texts from another weird number, so I googled the number that texted. Now I'm freaking out because I have no idea what I just opted for... Ugh...

    This number called my office phone (which can show which number is calling). I picked up the call and i received voice machine saying my line connection will be barred in 2 hours and asked me to press ‘1’ to speak with the customer service. I was surprised because I have paid the bill last few days. I pressed ‘1’ and my call was directed to so called TM Customer Service named Hafiz Bin Salleh. He asked what is the name registered with the phone number. I told him my boss name and then he asked me to spelled my boss name. Then he asked for my name as for their record that I am on behalf of my boss to check the total outstanding for the phone bill. I did not give my full name and only give first and middle name. Then the guy asked me whether it is my full name as per ic and I just say yes. To my surprise, he also confirmed the last 4 digit of my ic correctly without i telling him. After he did that, I started to feel really confidence that they are from TM. Then he said according to his record,  there is no due in my office phone account but unfortunately he found that I have outstanding 3 months under my name. I told him I have never applied unifi or any TM products before. He further told me that my name was registered under no. 095133750 in Wisma Kuantan Pahang and I supposed to know this since it is under my name. I refuse it since I am not from Pahang. He repeat my name twice as if he was checking in the system. Then he told me that my IC might be misused. Okay, I was a bit emotional because I really thought that someone misused my name. Then guy continued asking whether I have lost my IC previously and whether you have given your IC copy to anyone or apply loan in the bank. The way he asked me makes me feel smothered. Then I told him I will just go to TM nearest branch and talk about this matter. The guy asked to spare him for few minutes as he wants to help me. I feel something not right. Then again I told him I will refer to the TM staff who have promoted me the unifi package because might be they wrongly key-in my details etc under different number. The guy keep on asking to give him some more time and then the 1st step he asked me to do is to go to Balai Polis Kuantan. I was like What?? I’m not in Kuantan. He wants me to fly there? Lol. Last, he asked me to just go to nearest police station. And when he was about to say the next step, I just ended the call. After that, I call TM and also refer the TM staff. They told me they will never call and told customer that in 2 hours they will disconnect the service and it might be scammers.
