I keep getting a call from number 188. no additional numbers with that. No one is on the other end when I pick up. Who is this? Quit calling please.

That's strange. I just got called from that number too and found this by internet search.

I also just got a call from this number. I didn't answer because the number is strange. I was thinking it could be a scam trying you to pick up the phone or call back so they can use your number illegally. I won't be calling back or answering. I haven't gotten a call from them before. The only number that came up on my cell phone was 188.

So yes I received phone call from the same number. No voice mail nothing I didn't answer obviously.

I just got a call from + 188.  I didn't answer but I've never had a number show up with a + before three digits. Weird.

Me, too. Called my CELL; rang at least 12 times, but I never answer calls from numbers I don't recognize. No message left, so for sure it's a scam of some kind. Blocked.

I received a call from this number just now (3:46 PM on 8-9-18) and have blocked it.

I too got a call from 188. never heard of such a thing, 188. Checked it out more, said it was CDT. which I guess is from Mexico or some where's out of the country of the USA. Got to be a scam. Reported it in to nationaldocall.gov (again, report all of theses calls in, doesn't seem to do any good.) Anyways seems these calls are up to no good.

Same thing this morning.  Did not and will never answer a scam call, especially one like this.  Do they really think we are that stupid? I don't think there is anything the do not call list can do about scum, oops I mean scam haha, callers.  If it is a legitimate company you will not receive calls because they follow the rules and laws.  If you do not recognize a number, don't answer it.  If it is a legitimate call they will leave you a message.  Some scummers leave a message, but you then have the option to know it was a scummer and not return the call.  I once had an actual message from a live scummer.  I returned the call all through the night, I couldn't sleep because I was sick.  After they answered about 20 times and got my fu after I acted like I was legitimate they quit answering.  I continued to do this all through the night, over 200 calls, preventing them from answering when someone who may have really believed they were going to be arrested by the police in New York City (I was in California waiting for the knock on the door haha).  The next day, the number was disconnected.  Always make sure you have your number blocked and it is not an 800 or any other toll free number you are calling.  Your number will come up when calling any toll free number.  This number was not a toll free number.

Received two calls from 6-188-632-1001. I did not answer as the number was unfamiliar, most likely a scam. They did not leave a message.
