I received a call from phone number 2000 this morning on my cell phone.  I answered the call to a recorded message stating that some financial institution was calling to inform me that my debit card has been deactivated.  The message also stated that I should stay on the line to talk with the security group to give them my debit card number so that they could reactivate.  I hung up as this was obviously a scam to get my debit card information. No financial institution that I deal with has my cell phone number nor are they going to call me about a deactivated debit card.

I got the same phonecall last night, but it was from a Restricted number. Then I got the same phone call AGAIN this morning from the 2000 number ( i googled it, and it led me here). I answered it last night and got the automated message, but the recording told me that due to fraud, my debit card from XXX bank had been deactivated and to press 1 to talk to security. I didn't press 1, because the funny thing is, is that with that particular bank, i don't even HAVE a debit card.

Scam-o-rama. I'm going by my bank this afternoon and letting them know.

Same deal.  Caller ID just showed "2000" as the number.  Automated voice said something like "We are sorry to report that your MasterCard has been locked.  Please press 1 for our security department."  I don't have a MasterCard.  I didn't press 1 and after about 5 seconds the call was disconnected from their end.  Shady business.

My mother and I both received similar phone calls from this number. It is obviously a scam because neither of us have accounts at the bank they were claiming to be calling from. I would not answer if you get a call from this number. It is an automated message, so you might get an empty or weird voicemail with only part of the message. They wanted me to press one and talk to security, and I just hung up.

Received a missed call from "2000" twenty minutes ago. Checked my voicemail and only heard the last 3-4 seconds of an automated message saying "...passed on to our security department." Googled the telephone number and it led me here. Today is Memorial Day. Who is honestly going to be calling on one of the biggest "bank/government" holidays??

Just got a call from +2000. Let it go to voicemail, got a few seconds of a recorded message about a security problem with my card. Googled it, got here. Not sure where else to report it, but definitely a scam.

I got the same call, thinking it was probably a scam but who knows, I pressed 1.  I was supposedly transferred to the security line with the same automated female voice.  It asked for my 16 digit card number, me thinking it was a scam, I entered 1234567812345678, then my date of expiration, 0114, then my 3 digit security number on the back 999, and then I was even surprised they asked for my personal pin number 1234.  Just a moment please....you account as been reactivated, no further action is needed!  So of course this is a scam!
