So I found a, "to good to be true" rental on craigslist. Kind of went like this:

How are you? Thanks for the interest in my house, my house is still available for rent and is located at (1328 Harbour Town Place, Chula Vista, CA 91915) quite and safe neighborhood. I only need someone that can occupy of the house at my absence because right now am not around I just secured a contract in (OREGON USA) which is why I am looking for someone to occupy the house. And am here with the house keys and document, I tried to look for management before i left but we couldn't get along well, I would have given the agent this job but the truth of the matter is that the agent is charging me much fee to handle it and this has pissed me off which is why i decided to handle it myself.. So If you know that you have a good reference and a good credential you can email me back to secure and occupy my house at my absent.

NB: You can go check the neighborhood and get back to me for further discussion, any sign post will be removed once i get any responsible tenant so you ignore the sign post cause i have stop dealing and contacting the Realtor for too much fees i pay them to handle it for me.

Pets acceptable (deposit required) and the security deposit which is $500, References a must. Hope you are Okay with the rent fee of $1,500 per month, get back to me asap because i need a tenant urgently and so i can also forward the application form to you, if you are interested. And i am looking to lease the house for a long period of time but i will prefer a year to year lease if that is okay with you.   Have a nice day.

So I was ready to rent!! Everything went real fast and within 2 hours I was approved by some lawyer and being sent info on where to Western Union $2000. Problem was the receiver name was Jean Hamblen, Newport Oregon, Not the person whom I was communicating with via email.
Started asking a few questions with friends and googled a few names and wouldn't you know it. I see Jean Hamblen, Newport Oregon mentioned in a previous scam.
Almost got me!!
Beware people..

after sending thru western unionm she told me i have to top up another $280 as it is buy 2 get 1 free

wtf! my $ gone just like tt

He is now advertising in West Palm Beach -- here is his bogus zillow rental ad posted one day ago!

In response to Yvonne  your an idiot and if you had your facts straight you would know that Christopher was a victim just like the rest of you. Have you ever heard of identity theft?  That man is an upstanding citizen  and Naval veteran who was renting from his old boss trying to get ahead.  How many people came to his door to rent this home without him having  any idea what was going on. How do I know? I'm family. So next time you slander someone on a public forum get your facts straight!
