When it happens enough times from the same number (yeah, I know it's a spoof number), I add it to my contact list and set it up for a silent ring.  Phone never rings again from that number.

Small Business Loan scam.  Called my cell phone. :-(  Auto-reject... too bad that just sends it to VM instead of just dropping it.  Guess I'll have to login to my provider's site and block it there at some point, maybe if they call again.

Ironically, scammers (criminals) use the "do not call registry" (you can get a list from govt) to get 'prime' phone numbers to target people with. Prime, since valid telemarketers aren't calling these numbers so people tend to be pick up more often.

This is a nice idea, but what makes you think criminals making calls with spoofed caller-ids will check the DNC list before calling a potential victim?

These are CRIMINALS, some are TERRORISTS, they are trying to ROB you, they dong care about the DNC list at all.

Sadly my number has been Registered with the Federal Do Not Call List and guess what Doesn't Work getting the same type of scammer calls 4 - 5 times a day. I have reported each one for the past month, does it stop them? The answer plain and simple is NO..

I have blocked the maximum number of blocks allowed on my digital phone service through Atlantic Broadband.  They tell me that is all they will allow.  They also claim there is nothing you can do about these people calling you.  I also have people from out of the country using my phone number to converse with others.  I only know this by looking at my call list on line.  Someone is using my phone at all hours of the night for hours at a time.  My phone never rings so I am not sure how they are actually using my number to do their illegal business.  They offered to change my number but there's no guarantee that the new number won't be called by these idiots.  I have registered with the DNC list and reported these numbers to the FCC.  We need a phone system that will allow unlimited, one-touch blocking.

Received call on 6/29 at 9:40am. Rang twice and no one on line.
