A man asked for the owner by first name.  I told him he was not available and asked if I could help him.  He said no he would call him on his cell and i said ok then he hung up.  They call a few times of month.  After reading all the comments on this page I will get rid of them next time they call.

The same just happened to me.  He asked for my boss by name and when I said he was in town he said that I better get him on the phone right now in a really angry tone.  I again said he was not available and he hung up.

Pretty much the same comments as above. Asked for the owner of our company by name and stated he had done business with him in the past (lied). My office manager told him he wasn't in today (which was true) and she said she would pass along his number, but he got rude and asked "why are you making this call so difficult".
These people need to be put out of business!

Got a call from "Rick" asking for the owner of my business by name. Acting like he knew him. Obviously didn't. Was incredibly rude and among other things told me to "do your job and get up out or your chair to go find him"

Yea no.

Received a call from this number. It was a man who asked for the President of the company by name. When I stated he wasn't there and was offering an alternate person, he hung up on me. Googled the number and found all these reports with similar/same experiences.

Received yet another phone call from Anthony.
"I need to speak with Dave."
He's not here. I can take a message, or put you in his voicemail.
"Just tell him Anthony with Tucker Group is on the phone, he's expecting me."
Well, I don't believe he's here, but I can take a message.
"He's expecting my call. So, if you'd just find out if he's there, that would be great."
I put him on hold knowing my boss wasn't expecting any calls from him. Came back and told him Dave was not here, just like I had suspected.
"Thanks for checking. I'll send him an email."
That's a great idea. You do that.
(This all sounds very sweet, but he was rude and condescending. Not translating here.  I really hope he calls back. They call every so often. Once, a guy said, "Whatever!" and hung up on me when I said Dave wasn't available.)

One word! RUDE. this guy called and wanted the owner. We got into an argument bc he would not tell me what he wanted, then he hung up. GOOGBYE LOSER

Same as above.  Some woman called and asked for the CEO of the company by just stating the first name. "XXXX please."  I asked her to hold but I got back on the phone to take a message and they had hung up. Spammer!

Second verse, same as the first. A little bit louder and a little bit worse.
Called in and gruffly asked for the CEO by name. When I told him he was not in and asked if I could help him, he abruptly hung up.

07/10/18 - persistent little buggers aren't they?  Steve with Tucker's - knew boss' name.  Questioned him and he got snarky.

We received a call from this number. The person asked for the owner of the company (mispronouncing the name). I told him that the owner was about to go into a meeting and I would need to take a message. The person said, his name was Tyler and he was calling regarding a lawsuit in which he mentioned a fictitious company who was "suing" our company. He told me to put the owner on the phone as he was sure he would take the call. This is the second call we received this week about this, so I left him on hold until he hung up. The person spoke so fast I could not tell what company he was calling from. Furthermore, the caller ID only showed the phone number not the name.

Caller asked for boss by name and if he was available.  I said that I believed he was in his office may I have your name to say who is calling?  "David Cooper"  I asked my boss if he was expecting a call from this man and he asked who is he with?  I returned to "David" and stated that the boss was placing an order and would call him back shortl....
"OOOOH!  So he doesn't want to talk to me.  Oh isnt that interesting?  WELL!" he interrupted.
I was going to ask for his number but could tell from that strange attitude from a business person that he was definitely not legit.
So I landed here and decided to share.  What a crock.

Rude caller, claimed to be returning a call to another employee, said his company was TNA (or something like that) but wouldn't say what the company is or does or what the call was regarding.  I told him I couldn't pass the call through and he said he'd just call the person's cell number (which he doesn't have).  Scammer.
