I got this call today.  Really scared me butthen somethign did not sound right.  I googled the number and found ths site.  What a d%^&%bag.

Received a call from D.E.A. Special Agent William Wright claiming I ordered illegal Adapex in 2007/2008 and some were confiscated Dec. 15 2010.  A hearing would be Jan 11th or 12th in Washington DC. unless I paid $1850 fine/penalty to have the case dismissed.  Would not tell me details said I would have to have my attorney call him.  Threatened me with 12months, then 6 months then 45 days in federal prison.  He hung up on me when I pressed for details.  What a scam.  He claimed his number was 202-241-8927 ext. 118.  When I called the number there was a recording saying "all agents are busy leave your name and number and an agent will return your call".  I was planing to go to our local FBI office tomorrow.

I received my call today, Jan 3, 2012.  So, this has been going on for 1 year and they still haven't caught these people?  I wonder why?

William Wright called me on Feb. 2nd.  I've been on to this scam for a while.  I told him extorting money from people was not a good career choice!  He needed to got to college and make something of himself.  He hung up!

I too got a call from Special Agent William Wright telling me that I have been charged with a federal offense of purchasing diet pills over the internet in 2008 that came from the Dominican Republic. I had 3 choices: I could plead guilty, spend 12 months in federal prison; I could hire an attorney and possibly have the charges reduced and spend 3 months in federal prison; or I could pay the $2,500 fine, also to this Agent Gomez of the Dominican Republic. He said the fine was to be paid to the Dominican Republic because that is where the crime originated! He sounded official, I did order diet pills on line. I asked him why, if this happened in 2008, did it take till 2012 for charges. He told me it was because it was still within the statute of limitations. He told me that my case was going in front of the judge this afternoon and he didn't think I could possibly get this done in time. I had to go to a Western Union with cash, purchase a money order for $2,500, gave me the name and address of this agent Gomez in the Dominican Republic and if I didn't get this done in time, a warrant for my arrest would be issued. I had told him that I was at work, he told me I had to leave work and get this done or I would be arrested by the end of the day! He even offered to talk to my boss!! I should have let him talk to my boss, because after I told my boss of the call, she immediately recognized it as a scam. He has you so scared that you are ready to run out, get the money order and throw away your hard earned money. My boss immediately got on the computer and pulled up information on DEA Scam. How come this scam cannot be stopped. This despicable person needs to be arrested and be sent to a federal prison for the rest of his disqusting life!

Llama diciendo que llama del estado y que ustedes deben dinero. Por favor, no caigan. Le saca a la gente entre 400 y más de 1000 dólares. Si los llaman, no caigan, no le crean, les va a robar su dinero. Usa varias compañías como Brasan, también Cargo, y ahora usa Centro Natural. Su PO Box que usaba antes era 852211 en South Florida, FL 33082 y ahora está usando el PO.Box 2905 en Hallandale, FL. Tengan mucho cuidado y el delincuente ese de Daniel Carrasco vive en Miramar. Debería estar preso. No se dejen engañar ni estafar si reciben llamadas así, no les crean.

William Wright sorry, Special Federal Agent William Wright with the USDA, called me this morning!  He gave me the same exact story, I noticed your date June 2012!  He is still at it! Special Agent Wright did not get as far as telling me what my options were because I was so incensed that I was being accused of buying Phentermine from the Dominican Republic, and that it happened in 2008!  Why now in 2013 if it was against law even if I did. He hung up on me!  Only then did I google his name and see these posts.  

I am going to report him, but at the moment I am not sure where to go to report him.

Sadly, old Bill is still at it...received a VERY convincing phone message earlier today, and when I called back, I received a very convincing spiel. This guy definitely has it down. He was a little too quick, however, to tell me where all the Money Gram places were in my neighborhood. Knowing my home address and calling from a DC number are pretty convincing details. I don't consider myself overly gullible, but I confess I was certainly relieved to see others had been caught off guard and duped, too. Sadly, some folks fall for it...I can understand it, in this case. I called 877-792-2873, to report it, and to provide all the details I had collected. He has been at it for a long time, frustratingly.
