I received a phone call from 1-312-587-0128.Telling me that I am suppose to receive grant from the Federal Grant Department. Claiming to be from the government and telling me that I am awarded $9000 because of the federal recovery act of 2009. They told me that I have to pay $200 in registration fee, which is the first sign that this is a scam. So I did my research and found out that this is a fraud.

If a call comes from 2024701102 and 3152150654. It is a scam if they say you win 9,000 dollars but in order to receive it. You had to send it through MoneyGram and then you give them the 200 hundred dollars plus you will get the 200 hundred back a long with the 9,000 dollars. The other number says you would have to another $460 which I messed up at sending them the money but I learned my lesson never again. Just want my 200 hundred dollars back and I should have listen to the teller in the first place.

The same thing happened to me.

No I didn't kept calling my card and it keeps saying 0 balance but just like I said again learned my lesson.

I see because I was going to send it western union but they told me MoneyGram. I guess to get the money faster cause it only takes 10 mins when you give them the reference number and they keep you on hold to long which I believe their are getting the money as there are telling you to hold on. Never again promise that is why I am not telling anybody cause they going to say you are stupid for doing that.

They called wanting to give me 9000 for a grant. I did some checking and found out it's a scam. Why are foreigners able to access our info and try to con us out of our hard earned money, using the US government as their backup.

They say you don't need to pay it back until they want you to send them money. It's a scam...

He told me i won 9000.00 form us gov n I don't have pay back but I had to send 200 dollar an I believe him n I did then he told me he ganna send the holmoney tomorrow in my debt card so I wait tomorrow to come n wen it did I didn't see any money n wen I call him back he didn't answer form me.

The first call saying I had been chosen to receive a grant for $9000. He knew my name and address. The number was 312-587-0128 and I was to call 202-470-1102 and give them code JL145 and his name was David. He tells me to go to Dollar General and purchase a money gram express for $200 then call him back and he would transfer my money plus the $200 within 10-15 minutes. Then I call him back and tell him I can't get to a dollar general but I can go to a western union. He says that's fine and it will still cost the $200 and I have to fill out a registration form for the government and pay the money and get a receipt and that he will stay on the phone with me the whole time but it will take about 20-30 minutes to send the money to western union but I can just wait there with him on the phone until I receive my money!!! NO I didn't do it and thank y'all for posting all of these comments. I'm sorry for the ones that did get scammed.

was solicited for a $9000 grant   after returning the call i was told to call back Monday and was promptly hung up on.
