- Hal V ParfaitThey keep calling my number for this person who does not live here. I want the freakin numbers to stop...But who can you complain to
- Hal V ParfaitStop the calls..Who do I report it to. They call my mom's house. She is old and they should stop this nonsense
- Don't call meWhy are they calling and not speaking to anyone? Are they getting money for making the call. What is the point? I just don't get it. I'm sick of it. It is not only annoying it is harassment.
- memSame here.. this caller calls everyday... We have a non pubished number
This is bull [***]...- Caller: ??
- the truthTo the supporters of this group, think again. There is no difference in the 2 main parties. You are showing you indoctrination by lack of interest in real history. Look up Norman Dodd video on the foundations.
- STOP CALLING METo Stephanie, the telemarketer, who posted on 8 Oct 2008.
How can they be calling old numbers? They are calling my number that I've had for about 20 years. I'm the original owner of my home - no one EVER calls for the person who previously had my phone number. So this can't be the only way that the ACLJ has gotten our numebrs. I was never asked to be contacted by them, and have no interest in their company.
I tried calling their 1-800-296-4529 number but no one picked up.- Caller: ACLJ
- Annoying meAre these the same people that call for someone at your home, when you ask who is calling they just hang up? There are times when I've gone through medical emergencies at home and it's been terrible to have these people call. You have to answer because you think it's something important - then they hang up and say they'll call back. NO, I DON'T WANT YOU CALLING BACK! I DON'T KNOW WHO YOU ARE! Those calls need to end, NOW.
- Caller: ?
- WillAsking to be removed from their list does not help. I have asked and asked yet they still call 3-4 times a day 7 days a week.
- BuskerwarsI keep getting calls from this number, and when I finally picked up they asked me if I knew what "7 Vibrating Doldoes" was, and did I have any intention in investing in them this holiday season. So weird...
- J.S.H.They call me one day - if I answer & say hello before I look at the caller id, there is no answer on the other line; however, they call me later and leave a message on my answering machine - and it is my voice saying..."hello".
Very creepy and I am lodging a complaint - Evelynthey called and then hung up!!!
- gordHave you participated in a radio call in program ? I did and now have this calling problem also. try the # below. [not 202 507 7331 ]

You can be removed from the list by calling ACLJ at 800-296-4529. It took me a grand total of about 60 seconds.[thanks BT ]
After contacting ACLJ, they stated that their computer dials 6 numbers and a survey is offered to the 1st to pick up. The other five numbers are hung up on after picking up. Aren't planned hang up calls by definition, electronic harassment? [thanks Peter ]

From CBS Newsman!
Do you ever get those annoying calls with no one on the other end?
I know I do..just now to be exact.
Here is what you do.
Hit the #key on your phone 6 or 7 times as fast you can.
It is an automated system looking to see when best time to call when real person answers. You do this and it will confuse machine and knock you out of the system.
Hope this helps. [thanks Doodles, but does this work?]

It is close to the holiday season so return the favor. Visit ACLJ's contact page for each call received and submit a request asking for legal help on how to stop a menace with an autodialer or request that their parents teach them proper phone etiquette.
Be creative. [nice Erick]
Anyone who calls you over and over without an intent to communicate is committing harassment under state law. Anyone who calls your cellphone without prior permission is violating the TCPA federal law 47 USC 227.
It doesnt matter that they are a non-profit. If you state to this non-profit in writing that they must take you off their calling list they must

- Upset Military VeteranThe ACLJ has been harassing us for a long time. I wrote a letter back in September of 2008 and enclosed copies of complaints I found on the internet. I got an email response informing me that my number would be taken off their telemarketing list. I was happy that they actually followed through. But now, in the past week, the calls have begun again. I sent another email to the person who orignally responded--her name is Gail White, Member Services, ACLJ. The contact information she gave in her email is gwhite@aclj.org and toll-free number is 1-800-342-2255.
I can only hope that they wil permanently remove me from their list. I am posting this information on several web sites so that others might know who to contact. - AnnoyedHang up call made to a private company landline.
