Just received a call about from this number............Nothing was mentioned about using western union...Does anyone else have any information on this number?

Was called and said i have a government grant of $7500.00 and gave me a code to give the # i was to call sure am glad i looked it up.  Thanks for all the info.

Got a call and said I had 7500 dollars government grant money and I asked how is it the government just gives this kind of money out for free. She replied its a once in lifetime winning.iasked is there a processing fee and she said no. Then I talkesd to someone else and she said I would have to have 250 dolkarswith me to pick it up at western union. I said the lady said there would be no fee and they could just deduct it out of my grant money. She said the money comes from the government and they handle the calls to let people know about their once in a lifetime winnings. She never answered me. I said your nothing but a scanner.

Its a Hoax. I hope I didnt give too much information. I said western union and now I get nothing. Humm, things that make you go "HUMM". SCAM, What can be done about these people. Lets get them, make them pay....

My wife just called me and told me that we "qualify for $7,500.00 grant (just like the other said) and money would be sent via Western Union! I was very skeptical and heard about these frauds using WU and had to do the Revese Phone number check and glad I did. She said that they said what her BD was and she confirmed it but thats all she did (did not give bank, SSN or address info). I'm sure glad that I checked this out and will warn her against verifing again. Thanks for all your help everyone.

I just got the same call. Saying I qualify for a 7,500 grant from the government. The caller gave me my address and name and asked me to verify my DOB. I didn't give bank account number and told them to do the western union. Caller gave me this number to call back with the ID number he gave me I googled the number right away and just as i suspected its a scam...THANKS TO EVERYONE WHO POSTED AND FOR HELPING EVERYONE OUT....REMEMBER NEVER TO GIVE BANK ACCOUNT INFORMATION OVER THE PHONE.

This company is a scam. If you keep getting calls from this number call the Federal Trade Commission and your states Attorney General. I called US Government Grants and there is no such department. Their number is 800-FED-INFO (800-333-4636) They gave me the number to the FTC. The FTC number is 877-382-4357

Got the same call yesterday for 7500 , lets be serious the government isn't giving away money just because I pay my bills on time . I told the lady I wasn't giving him any of my bank info so she suggested western union , I said sure - then she asked for my DOB which I gave her the wrong year and she said okay and gave me the account managers number , after calling the account manager she hung up on me when I told her it was a scam because I work for th government and this department or grant doesn't exist - so she hung up and wouldn't answer when I called back. Please don't fall for this people . Call your phone company and report the number to try and get them shut down .

I just received the same phone call from some guy with an Ontario phone # 416-364-1111 who called me about 4 times today so I finally answered the phone. He gave me the same story as the others along with the 202-559-7618 # & an ID # to give when I called as SOON AS POSSIBLE to verify my information for the FREE MONEY. My son called the # for me & I looked it up online. THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH for the information everyone. You know what they say, "If it sounds to good to be true, it probably is". I will be calling the Federal Trade Commission & reporting this.  This is definitely a SCAM.

Just called and called and called and called the number...finally this lady called me with a worse accent than the guy who did who called me about my awesome grant....I messed with the first guy, he did a bunch of verifying of my name and phone number...I don't him all his information is wrong...he said don't worry I can have some one verify for you again. so the chick called back and said...yes I am calling for the grant information you wanted...then I told them I know they are a scam and they need to stop that they have been reported to the NSA! I was called a Bi*tch and to stop calling her at the 202-559-7618 number!

I got a call from this number asking to deposit a amount of money to resive money from the government a amount of 7750

I got the same BS call about receiving a $7500 grant for being awesome and paying my bills. I asked a million questions and asked "if the country is in a trillion dollars in debt, how can they give away free money?" Out of curiosity I called the 202 # and the woman gave me the whole western union spill just like everyone else. I immediately check the # online and sure enough a scam like I expected. I called the # back (since the initial call comes from "unavailable") and I told the lady if they ever called me again I would report them to the FTC. She said " did I ever call you? NO!! You're a [***]" and hung up on me. Obviously a scam, but I got a great laugh out of her accent saying "[***]" hahahahaha

I got this call from the "Grant Department" telling me to call this number to get my $7500.00 in free grant money.
Nobody speaks English, I called back and the woman who answered told me F--K you when I asked who they were.

Im gladd a checked before calling, i waited to tell my wife and she said the goverment doesnt give anything,(they take everything) we just got to work hard... Very tru.

got the call today know about two sec. that it was a hoax. They're English was bad the could not till me how the got my name and why am get the money. Do not give this people a thing they are just some conartist .

Patrick called last week, I hung up on him.  He called back today and gave me this phone number to call and a code ac141to give to the operator when they answered.  I told them I wanted cash so the only thing they asked me for was my address.  Said they were the government giving "grants" of $7500.00 out to a selected 1700 people.  I took the information down and hung up.  I figured it was some sort of scam and did not want to call the number as directed.  Wasn't sure what would happen.  The number Patrick called from was "unknown".
