i got from this # 202-738-1655 saying that i had won a goverment grant. name of the person calling me is Britny Tiler x 778 and said one's i was outside Western union to call her and not to say anything

Yah I got the same call, I'm kinda thinking on call the Federal Reserve to find out what's going on here, because they say anything that sounds to good to be true is to good to be true. For one you shouldn't have to pay anything to Western Union to receive money, maybe they have people stationed out side the store to get ready to rob you once you have the money in your hands. I would notify legal Authorities, just to protect yourself.

did anyone receive the $7000

I also got call from the same no. saying u got 7000$ grant from government of USA as being tax payer and nice credit history, they give me confirmation no and other mobile no of their financial department. hope government will crack this fraud maker..

Same story happened with me. They will cut call as u ask for check.

I got the exact same phone call a few minutes ago and was thinking it sounded a little fishy.  I kept hounding him with questions like why would the gov't just suddenly just randomly give ppl $7000  in grants for no reason.  Didn't sound legit to me.  He said our good old gov't is doing this for us.  He told me his name is Kevin Cumby and he was calling the the U.S. Treasury dept. in Florida.  (Isn't that office in D.C.???)  But he gave me a confirmation number  to give and a phone number to call to claim my grant money.  It was of course.....#202-778-1655.

I would like to know if this government grants number is active and real and not some scam

They called me and ask go to western and get a voucher then reload with $280 then call then the will give the information how to get the grant money huh. If the government wants to reward me they will have to send me that check of  $7000. They know all my life. Thanks for nothing. Lol

got a call from this number several times today saying that i have been selected to receive 7000 from the washington federal state reserve. all i have to do is get a green dot pak and put $280 on the card for verification and i would be given $5000 in cash and $2280 would be on the card. its a scam!!!

I called follow up number said to purchase card and load $260 on it then they would give me money gram confirmation# it worked they sent me$5000 money gram and added 2000 to card I purchased

I got call from some guy I couldn't understand his name.Said He was from the Gov.and I was chosen to receive 7000.00 all I had to do was buy a $$money pack and add 280.00  and call this girl named kathi .Then they would add the money to my card..I told her I don't believe it....Cause She told me The money I put on the card wasn' for them...It was just to verify who I was ....She gave me her # which is 202-738-1655 ext.245 &confirmation code rl202...

Did you received it the same time they did the progress wen you told them that the money was on the card

Received call about government grant winning 1 of 1500 people. Told me all I half to do was get a ggreen dot card Tue paper one only tho and had to deposit $260.00 to receive it. 202-738-1655 next 737 said I could call back anytime to claim it.?? I didn't of course knowing it was bogus.

Called from unavailable # telling me I won a grant for 7000 form the government.   Gave me confirmation # and 202 738 1655 # to call and talk to accounting mgr who is the one to finalize transfer.  

I received the same call. Spoke with Brittany at ext 778 and 202-657-5808 ext 1006 Calvin Parker. They have stolen $2400

I also just got. a call, sounded like an accent from India,, I have grant money $7,000. i got a ref Number and was told to go to any Money Gram store and get cash in hand. But to call this number right before I go into the store. suddenly she had an important call and said do not hang up I be right back....never came back..I called the number again..'Oh, she is on the phone to the federal government on your behalf. I said I never gave you my name how do  you know who I am..he said I know..your area code is 909 right? I said I believe this is a scam, he said why are you being so rude? and hung up.
sad sad sad. someone tell me how do I go about getting all of us together and suing these people?

This caller says they have $10,000 for me.They have my name, phone number, address but ask for my date of birth which I don't give them.

is this a government agency

I just received a call saying I they owe me 7,000 but when I call the number back and I ask who I'm speaking to they hang up I know it's a scam
