Just keeps calling and wont leave a message...

I received a call today from 205-201-7270 and they said that they are Cloud and Tidwell attorney at law.  Well when I looked up this attorney office they said that they collect debts throughout the state of Alabama.  Well I don't have any debt owed in the state of Alabama.  I don't know who they think they are trying to fool but I believe this is a scam because they do not list this as there office number.  I answered the phone when they called and said that the person they asked for was not here at the moment and took a message but they gave me a 1-866 number to either have the person they were looking for call back or their attorney call them back.  I said I would have them call back and they hung up.  I think that these people are scammers trying to collect money that is not owed by the people that they are trying to con.

the funnest thing is I just buy my prepaid cell phone, even me myself can't remember my phone#, no one know my new phone #, but on my way home, I get called by this #, and it call me several times a day, I never answer it.

Filing a complaint with the BBB is a waste of time. They give good ratings to their members no matter what you file....Protecting their interest in memberships.... CTA....

In some cases this may be legitimate. I had an outstanding medical bill from a hospital in New Jersey. This was the firm that the bill was transferred to. They have been less than accommodating in the pay back process. They have name called, harassed and threatened even though I have been repaying the company. After reading these posts, I am starting to wonder what kind of operation they have running there. I would call the medical facility to see where the bill was transferred to or if you even have an outstanding bill.

This number also has called my # several times asking for Shelia. My husband told them that no one here had that name. The lady hung up. My husband called back and asked to speak to supervisor. Said they were a law office. My hubby asked why they hung up on him. Lady said he cursed her. He did not ever curse her b/c he knows that this could be against the law. Said they would take our # off their call list. I guess we will see!

Just tell them that they have the wrong number. They legally havew to stop calling you.

No, you must inform them in writing to not call you again.

We recently got direct call phone lines for everybody in the office at my work.  I've gotten a few calls from this phone number when I've been away from my desk, but they never leave a message.  I tried calling them back but I only get their voice mail. They are debt collectors apparently. I've received a few phone calls of this nature for the person who formerly had my direct line telephone number.  If they are debt collectors, a cease and desist letter should suffice to stop them from contacting you again.

I get phone calls from this number constantly. Am on a do not call list.
I would like this company to be prosecuted.

Cloud and Tidwell attorney at law calls me at my new phone number; when I answer the phone they ARE NOT AVAILABLE TO TAKE A CALL; I hold and it costs me minutes on my cell phone.  I do not owe a debt to anyone or any company.  I am debt free.  I want them to stop calling me.  What can I do short of going to Alabama and hiring my own attorney to sue them?

The guy on phone calls me and tells me I owe money for a bill that i've been paying on in collections for the last year in a half. he said if i don't pay it i will be fined and could get into trouble. I work for the state and my boss said tell them to send you a letter and address to reply to and i did and they are still calling me during my work hours.
