Just called me - no message

The same as all the other people on the list, but I now let the FAX get these calls. It has cut these calls by 70%. It seems they don't want to talk to a machine.

Just  got a call from this  number which I didn't recognize. When I don't recognize  a  no.Idon't answer. Glad I didn't!!!!

Received call..no message..called back and got busy signal

I think they are scraping domain whois records and mass calling people

Received a call.  Did not pick up.  I'm in the Midwest, United States.  Based on reports I'm reading in this block, I'm guessing that this is a computer that is searching/seeking out numbers.

If you have a smart phone, here's what I suggest you do...

1) In your Contacts/Address Book, create a Contact with the name "DO NOT CALL" or "DO NOT ANSWER"

2) Every time an unrecognized number calls you, DON'T ANSWER--let it ring through, and then Google the number and see what sites like this, and others, say about the number.

3) If suspicious, add the number to your "DO NOT CALL" contact.  On more recent phones running Android, for example... a single contact can have 20, 25, even 30 different phone numbers associated with them!

4) If your phone won't let you add any more numbers to your contact, start another contact... call it "DO NOT CALL2"... and then "DO NOT CALL3"... etc.

You'd be surprised how many of these numbers cycle around.  A lot of telemarketers and scam artists use the same numbers over and over again.  Florida, in particular, is a hotbed of criminal activity, especially the fraudulent telemarketer type.

Got this call, Mr. Number tagged it as possible scam, so I didn't answer. Mr. Number was right!

Just got a call as well, used priceline.com 3x recently and used this number they called from, anybody else use priceline recently?

I just got one too.  Actually, I get one at least 2-3 times a week.  However, I have my cell# on the national DO NOT CALL registry though.  Doesn't that mean, they are not allowed to call?  Not only that but I work for a lawyers office and I know for a fact (at least in the state I live) it is against the law to call a cell phone using an auto dialer like that.  They could get in a lot of trouble and fined big time (for each call they make to a cell using it).  Don't know if any of you would like to look into that where you live.  I think I may check with the people I work for and ask them how I can take action.  This is getting so old and annoying.  Good luck to everyone.

Got a couple of phone calls (11:53am) from an out-of-state number that I didn't "know" or recognize.  
(Does this mean that they are involved in Interstate Fraud?)  
They, of course, left no message.  
As always, I didn't answer, but looked up the number here.  

I am on the National Do-Not-Call List, and have been for over a couple of years now.  
(I guess this is our government at work for us.)  

I'm going to

and see if that can get the government to work for me, and stop these calls.  
(Yes I will go through all those steps.)  [I have also bookmarked these URL's.]  
I have also assigned a silent ringtone to this number.  (I am up to 61 now.)
We should all pile on.

I'm also on the do not call list but the spam like this still leaks through.

SPAM caller

The problem there is that my caller ID just says "Cell Phone." Some of the people I know come up the same way.  How do you get off their list?

Why call if they want to hang up as soon as phone is answered.

Received a recorded call from this number at 9:14 am. "Congratulations you have won....!"  Have been on DNC list for years.

Identity Theft

Rec'd call but  didn't answer the unfamiliar number, although I think that number has called me before.
I'm sure its a scammer/spammer/TM prevert
