- TomThis is a phishing SCAM. The caller said this is a final attempt to contact me to resolve a lawsuit being filed against me by IRS. Not (the) IRS but rather IRS (Internal Revenue Services). WTF!? I needed to call 206-462-5425 immediately. BTW it's a cell phone. The call came from 530-888-9650.
Hopefully everyone involved in this SCAM will rott in Hell. The sooner the better.- Caller: Infernal Revenue Services
- lizreceived message I was being sued by IRS, trying to contact me. Sounds very fishy, didn't call back
- Brian Michaeli received a recorded message on my answering machine cleaning it was the IRS and that i was being sued and they left this number: 206-462-5425. I suspected that it was a scam so i called my phone company's trace number and spoke with the illegal call representative. She informed me this is a big nationwide tax scam. The IRS does not make phone calls they only send letters. The FBI and the Federal Trrade Commission are working to shut these people down. If you get this phone call call the Federal Trade Commission. This is their number: Federal Trade Commission (877) 383-4357 Press Option 1 then 1 again then press option 3 to speak with a representative.

If you listen carefully, the voice says: Internal Revenue ServiceS. Plural. Not Internal Revenue Service. Common sense should also show you that the voice asks for no one in particular. Just YOU. You who? Use common sense folks. Yes, I was taken aback for a moment too, then I thought, "what??" The real IRS would never leave a message like that. Ridiculous. Don't even call the number back. It's a scam. Folks, you MUST think and use the common sense you once had that technology has robbed us all of. Thank you.- Caller: fake IRS call
- Call type: Prank
- Wayne replies to marypCorrect.
Caller says "Internal Revenue SERVICES. Plural. Very clever to use a nearly identical name to scare people. The real IRS would never leave a message saying they are going to sue you. Absurd. The message doesn't even mention a person by name! Right. But suckers will call the number back, be told to pay $300 or whatever they think they can get from you, to stop the "lawsuit". And another Nigerian scam artist will have a big payday. What's worse is our government does nothing to stop this crime or even warn people about it! That's the real crime. - MicheleMessage was left in my vm...i returned the call. A man w/a middle eastern accent answered. I told him i received a vm message to call. I was told by him that they were calling from the IRS and needed my name and address. FIRST, if it really was the IRS, they would have that information. I laughed, told him it was a BS call. Also told him the IRS doesn't make phone calls....they send letters. I then hung up.
- Caller: Never really gave a Company Name
