- UAI received a phone call from this number with Indian accent telling me that the Harris county police and the district judge is after me because I committed a fraud and they fraud is connected to IRS, they told me I be arrested in the next 45 minutes because warrant of arrest has been issued. He said he is connecting me to IRS and his name is Officer James O'Connor and I should pay $2898 right now or I will face the judge. He hung up and when I dialed them back I get someone very incoherent on the line, they ended up hanging up

- Marisa StefatosGot a similar call today from heavily accented Indian telling me to call John Harris!!!
- danl43I got a robocall voicemail from "deputy Jones" at this number this morning, asking me to call back or "surrender myself to the local police department" because of a federal complaint and investigation. They did not mention my name or any other personal information. These calls appear to be wire fraud and impersonating an officer, both felonies. Why can't someone prosecute or at least shut them down?
- Caller: {unintelligible} Police Dept.
- DunnoYou should enjoy this kind of opportunity. This is what you should do. Pretend that you are scared and want to solve the problem by giving him a credit card number: 1122 1963 0414 1865. Pay $4115. Find out if he has a sense of humor. Then, speak in any foreign language that you know. If you switch to Chinese all of sudden, for example, how does he react?
(Credit numbers above are:Kennedy's assassination date followed by Lincoln's assassination date. $4115 is the April fool day of the next year.) I'll teach you Taiwanese four letter word-equivalent that my roommate taught me: Kan nin-nya chih wye. Let's see how he will react. - Hanna replies to alI just got the same exact message. It was a woman named deputy jones asking me to turn myself to the nearest police department or call the same # to talk to officer John Harris regarding a federal crime.
- BruceReceived a phone message from this guy who sounded like he could BARELY speak English. He had a BROKEN Accent and honestly sounded mentally challenged. As with the other posts, it sounds like the same made-up SCAM about a person from a police department calling regarding a legal issue, etc. etc. I tried calling the # back 2 times and it gave me a 'disconnected recording' or something similar to this. I was looking forward to talking with the guy just to CATCH HIM & CALL HIM ON IT. If it happens again I will call my local police department and give them this (206) 512-1480 phone number. This guy is a JOKE. Thanks.
- CarrieGot calls from this number yesterday and today. This is the summary I wrote when I submitted my complaint to the FTC:
"I already submitted a complaint yesterday. These people called me again today. I missed the call and called them back. A man with an Indian accent answered the phone and said he was with law enforcement. He referred to me by my full name (they must have hacked some system to get this information). He said he was going to transfer me to someone. When he transferred me, I ended up on the phone with a woman with an American accent. She indicated that she received a call from a 734 area code and she didn't know what it was about. Apparently, he connected me unintentionally with another person they were trying to scam. At that point, I told him that what they are doing was fraudulent and I've reported them. The other woman concurred and said she was reporting them as well. He must have handed the phone to another person because a woman with an Indian accent came on and claimed she was from the Taliban and they are going to assassinate Barack Obama in 24 hours, at which point I hung up. This is absolutely ridiculous. Something needs to be done about these scammers."
I'm also filing a report with my local police department. This is ridiculous and I just hope there aren't people out there that are giving these [***] money.- Call type: Prank
