I received a call today from this number and talked to Ariel. She was professional and worked out payments with me. My bill was over $500 and I did payments over 8 months. Ariel offered to remove the account from my credit report once it was paid in full as the economy is tough these day.

It seems as if anyone can post whatever they want on this site. Look up OCI. They have an A+ rating from the BBB and I had a very good experience with them. Before the first payment was going to be drafted out from my account, I received a letter stating it would be drafted and for how. I also requested proof of the bill and they sent that as well.

From the reviews, it almost seems like there is a former employee that is placing derogatory information or something. I have spoken with both Susan and Amy there as well as I could not make payments for a time and they said that to call back once I find a job.

I don't like having debts, but since I do, I am glad they worked with me

I have a lot of medical bills and some will speak to me and make arrangements but there are a few that are like this person. I tell them I cannot pay the full $1300 and they say "pay it all within 2hrs or we will sue you" so I say I'm very sorry that is not possible and they say "you just dont WANT to pay us" which is not true as I pay more than 50% of each paycheck to various collection agencies for my medical bills. Then I say "im very sorry, I wish you would make arrangements with me but if you need to sue me then thats what you need to do" Then they DONT sue me and start calling and harassing my employer without trying to contact me again. They call my family members and say that there is an emergency fraud case pending and try to get income information out of them. Its weird. Stop saying you are going to sue me for 4 months and i could give you some payments toward the balance weirdos. This is exactly why people avoid collectors, many DONT want to work with you like you are saying they do. You must be a bill collector. Now once in a blue moon i get someone reasonable who understands and works with me and doesnt harass me and THOSE people get paid. I just paid of the last $500 to a collector like that today because he made arrangements with me and was NICE about it. Go figure. I dont want to reward jerks by making their job easier. Ha

Yes, yes, another grateful consumer pays a debt collector with wall-to-wall complaints of typical industry bullying and illegal practices. You came running here to report a mystery phone call *after* a series of written communications and months of payments? Your shill story needs editing.

Trade line deletion from credit reports has to be forced from a collector in litigation. What's to stop them from jerking with the "agreement" or reselling the account?

These folks have been harassing me for so long that I don't even answer my phone unless I know the name. The worst part is that the bill they want paid has been paid. Twice. They want me to pay it a third time. I know it's the same bill because they don't even bother changing the amount, not even the cent amount. I guess if they can't get money legitimately, they will scam it out of people. After all, most people don't REALLY know who they owe money to.

You response sounds like it came straight from the debt collector themselves. You are not credible.

These people don't mess around. They hired an attorney to sue me over a 576 dollar psychiatric bill that I refused to pay because it seemed to me my child was much worse after the visits. To keep frOm going to court I paid the 908 dollars that them taking this action caused. (Attorneys fees, filing fees, interest). I stopped paying the bill to "Friends of Youth" on 1 July 2014

    OCI is the worst!!
Crazy people! Will harass and are rude. Have no legal sense and only know how to threaten. They will call to collect fraudulent claims for sleazy companies to begin with and don't care what you have to say about it. A joke of a company and a bunch of clowns working there. Bad news and wouldn't trust what they say. What sad lives they must lead to be doing this job...see ya, wouldn't want to be ya!

    Texas Resident
Hi , My Aunt who lives with me went to a doctor in Bellevue WA multiple times back in 2012 and we paid all their bills with an only exception to a 15$ copay that according to us was incorrect. We later moved to Texas in 2013 when we received a call from the doctors office and I provided them my new address in Texas and also told them that we don't owe them that copay because of "THE" reason. The lady at the doctors office said that she cant write it off and I have to take this up with my insurance provider which has changed now. Now after more than 3 years in Oct 2015 I receive a letter from the same doctors office that they are forwarding this case to OIC because I didn't pay the 15$ balance. 15$ is peanuts for me but is that the right way of doing it?

Also, I need to know that can debt as low as 15$ be reported by OIC to credit bureaus? Also, I am not a resident of WA anymore. Does this company OIC have the license and permission to reach out to people outside state for collection? Please guide
