Report a phone call from 207-493-2694 and help to identify who and why is calling from this number.
- GruvinCalls daily,I finnaly just blocked it
- kk replies to calledmethanks thats what i got too
- Would it help to call the FCC?I've filed three complaints against this number at the Nat'l DNC website but they still call.
I never answer, and they hang up as soon as my answering machine answers. I've also got a little device on the phone line that's supposed to give out a "Dead Line" signal that automated callers hang up immediately, but that doesn't seem to prevent them from calling back repeatedly.
Does anyone know if it would help to call the F.C.C. and report them?- Caller: Caller ID = "HOME SECURITY G"

Got a call from (207) 493-2694 - Pretended I was interested in whatever they were selling.
I was on the phone for 20 minutes or so..
Here is what I found out.
The company is a 3rd party marketing company
Paramount Home Security in Florida
The gal gave me her desk number:
Christine Anderson - (877) 764-1080 ext. 118
Here are two things I recommend.
If you have a moment and are bored, lets call this number and ask them about ADT services, If a buttload of people are engaging them they will not have the resources it takes to make outbound calls.
The other is just to call and hang up if you are the shy type, I am guessing they only have the capacity for so many inbound/outbound calls. If their robo-dialer cannot call out, some fellow cell phone user will not even get the call! You would be a hero!!- Caller: Paramount Home Security
- Call type: Telemarketer

- ShirleyWe get calls from this number every day. Yesterday it was 7 calls, today so far it has been 3. We never answer but it is annoying. We are on the no call list. Is there a way to stop these calls? Caller ID shows it is from a company called Home Security.

- Hank replies to JoeJoe,
Just a quick note as I am an FCC licensed communications engineer. These telemarketing companies use what is called a DOD (direct outward dial) trunk group for dialing out. For incoming calls, the telemarketing companies use DID (direct inward dial) trunk groups with ANI (automatic number identification) so that they can identify your telephone number when you call. Unfortunately the dialers are using a set of telephone lines (trunks) that are not at all connected to the lines you call in on. For this reason, calling them and overloading their lines won't slow down their dialers one bit. Tying up their inbound lines only causes a very temporary inconvenience for them. Either you and a whole bunch of people need to be calling 24/7 for several weeks or you're wasting your time. In the end, they'll change their number and keep going.
With the information you've acquired, the thing to do would be to see if they have a web site or business license in Florida. It is possible, however for them to operate their business in Florida but the company charter in another state. Anyway, if they have a web site you can do a WHOIS with the site's domain name and look up who the owner of the site is - usually the owner of the company. Alternatively, if they have a business license, you can do an on-line query and find out who the owner is and his/her contact information and take action on the owner of the company rather than their telephone system. All of the above I intend to do as I've been receiving their calls.
The FCC imposes a $1,500 fine for each violation for any company that violates the DNC registry 90 days after your number is entered into the registry. So if the company called you and I, they will be fined $3,000. Most companies who ignore the registry do so because 1) they're completely ignorant to there being laws and fines for not consulting the registry, or 2) they don't care about the laws and fines and figure they won't get caught because they've set up the telemarketing office as a front that is expendable if caught (as is more likely the case). They probably put some computer nerd teenager in charge who doesn't have a clue he's going down when caught (or his parents will go down).
The best way to ensure they get caught is to file a complaint with the DNC registry complaint link that others have posted before me. The FCC will follow up on complaints. It might take some time but they will do it - they are required to. I have filed complaints in the past and actually received responses from the FCC letting me know that they have received the complaint and will take action on it.
I hope this helps.
Kind regards,
Hank - Not ShyI think it's collectors pretending to be a security company so they can skip trace.
- tjand they just keep calling. interesting since i am on the Do not call list. Does this list even mean anything any more?
- BrittanyI had missed a few calls from this number previously and they just called me now. It wasn't an automated service . He said he was from Premium Pest Control and they are servicing our area for rodents and such, and as soon as I told him that I lived in a complex with an HOA he immediately said thanks and hung up. I knew it was a scam anyways since the call was to my cell, and the area code of my cell doesn't match where I live or where he was calling from. But this call was by a human being not a recording. Beware!
- Caller: Premium Pest Control
