this was an unsolicited robo call to my unlisted number

i received a call from this number and didn't answer.
wish i had answered...;o) while i was sitting in traffic.

I just missed a call from this number. When called back it said this number was disconnected.

they called, i didnt answer

called me too just now didnt pick up

I got this call yesterday and again, today.  I didn't answer.  If they are offering warranties on cars, they got the wrong info on me, as I don't own a car!

got one 11/26/2008 at 11:22a. didn't answer. no message.

keeps calling and leaves no message

today was the second time i recieved a phone call from them and i didn't answer and no message was left, a little weird considering the # is disconnected

just got the call. i didnt answer but when i call back it says its been disconnected. i got one of these calls before expect then the number was a colorado area code. they did the same thing

Got a call from this number today, December 1, 2008, at 1:00pm.  I did not answer and they left no message.

They just called me 20 or so minutes ago if I don't know the number I don't pick up I looked it up called it back of course disconnected. How do we report it how do we get them to stop. 12/1/08 12:23 pm

Question I have people calling me, and I'm starting a business but I don't know the numbers so I don't answer, can creditors get my number when the phones not in my name and the only thing my number is on is my business cards, it's not linked to any of my bills or anything no one has it just on business cards

(pt. 2) i received this call about half an hour ago. i'm a 734 area code (southeast MI), and mine is a cell number, if either bit of info is relevent. probably isn't but just in case. i'm sure the hardy boys would appreciate any clues to get to the bottom of this caper.

Just got a call today (12-1-08) at my office from this phone number.  I pressed "1" to speak to a live person.  He claimed to be with "The Warranty Department."  When I asked whether that was part of Toyota (I happen to own one), he said they were not with the manufacturer and are simply called "The Warranty Department."  I guess he sensed he wasn't going to get my money and hung up a few seconds later.  Judging from the noise in the background during the call, the caller must have been at some kind of call center or sweatshop marketing operation.  Earlier this fall, I was peppered by calls to my mobile phone from "General Warranty Services," which actually has a website (generalwarrantyservices.com).  That gave me enough information to report them to state and federal authorities, including the Federal Trade Commission.  My guess is that these sleazy marketers are getting phone numbers from forms that are filled out when you visit automotive retailers and repair shops, probably independent ones.  Think about the information you provided to the repair shop that fixed your tire.  Make, model, year and phone number are all the telemarketers need to approach you with an extended warranty.  The repair shop probably makes a few bucks selling information to the marketing firm or a middleman.  Sharing information about our experiences and reporting these incidents to regulatory agencies are about all we can do, I think.  But it's worth it --and sometimes these operations are investigated and busted.

I's got many calls from this number for the last two weeks.....I bet it's a scam...just wondering how they get my number.  I just got this phone from TracPhone company...Do TracPhone sell this to them ??????
