My company doesn't subscribe to the do not call lists, so I have no idea about what you're talking about. I don't leave messages because I am trying to reach you in person so I can collect some of your personal information.  You people are rude for not answering your phones but there are plenty that do and for the rest of you, I'll just keep calling until you accidentally answer or you get tired of me calling, which by the way, means you'll have to tell me that by answering your phone.

Are you kidding me?  You sound rude as %^@* MARC.  Not the way I usually talk (and I put in the symbols) but man you do realize that you interrupt people with busy and/or stressful lives as in my case my being on the phone causes my son to start screaming at the top of his lungs in a high pitch shrill.  I understand you have a job (if this really is someone from MARC) but you have no idea what the person on the other end is going through.  And I give no personal information over the phone to a complete stranger and no one else ever should.  And should you keep calling someone on the Do Not Call list have fun paying the fines.  

As for accidently picking up the phone well there is that lovely ability to hang up. :)

I have a hunch that I am getting these calls as a result of filling out one of those manufacturer discount cards for prescriptions so that I could save $50 on my Rx co-pay.  Did anyone else do this too?  It appears to be a marketing research company.

call my office asking for the person who handles the health insurance of the company. also shows up as "marc" on the caller id.

Got a call from this number then I get put on hold, so I wait. When they asked for me I figured it must be a collection call. I finally get connected to a guy with a thick Indian accent, so I just told "Apu", "he (really meaning ME) no longer lives here". "Apu" asked me, "did he leave a forwarding phone number?" so I gave him the number to a payphone. Let him harass passers-by at the mall!

Person mumbled away asking a question that I didn't quite understand until after I hung up on her. She was asking to speak to the person who handles our company's Hartford Insurance policy.  By the time I realized this was what mush-mouth was saying I had already hung up on her.  If it was a sales call pitching some other product then I am glad I hung up.

People these "unknown" or unfamiliar calls are scammers, period.  DO NOT ANSWER, and if you just can't resist, then DO NOT GIVE OUT ANY PERSONAL INFORMATION, most of the time they are piecing your information together, and only need bits of information to pull off stealing your identity or opening credit in your name.  Don't be a fool and give them anything!  My cellphone number got exposed and I'm receiving calls too, even an "collection" agency working for AT&T Midwest! I never had any business with that company...so they'd hacked into an account and got my already paid billing information and are attempting to "collect" or scam money out of me.  They even sent me a phoney bill.  So check out FTC.gov to learn about scams, how to protect yourself, prevent fraud and recover.  Number 1 step...call one of the credit agencies and put a fraud alert on your account, the other two will be notified.   So even if you try to open credit, the credit department of where you're trying to open the card will call you first before issuing credit!  Don't be an American Idiot who is constantly falling for money scams...that's why they scam us, we fall for it!  No Idiot!

"Marc" left a message and said they were a Market Research Firm conducting a survey for Hartford Insurance Co.

Got a call tonight from some medical survey wanting to know if this is a residence or a cell phone.
Just call the number back and after the recording give them your phone number and ask the to take you off the call list.
