- chrisM| 1 replyI recieved a call from a computerized message service. A women's voice stating that they had been trying to contact me, consider this call final notice, the IRS is suing me and I should call 209-243-6009. This scared the crap out of me until I remembered I have no outstanding debts and am due for a tax refund from IRS. The caller did not identify themselves nor give name of who they were calling for.
- SCAM replies to chrisMI got the same call I called the number back and a man with a heavy accent answered. He asked what I was calling about and I said you tell me because you left the message, he hung up. This is a scam!!
- debbietblondecall from 718-372-9204 called my senior mom, She fell for it and called 209-243-6009 for IRS . Man with accent told her she is being sued. For owing taxes. My mom doesn't owe a dime to any one including credit cards so don't know how she fell for this.
they have her address so I told her don't be surprised if they send you a fake bill.
People need to get themselves a job and stop ripping poor seniors off.- Caller: 209-243-6009
- I HATE SCAMSThese are about the dumbest scammers ever. When you call, an Indian man using the name "David Brown" answers. Says is he "from IRS" He's not bright enough to know we use the article "the" before IRS. When you accuse him of a scam, he hangs up. When I called back to jerk with him, he answered "Officer Frank Jefferson." I asked for David Brown and the dope replied that he was in fact David Brown, not Frank Jefferson.
If these idiots attempt to scam you, you can make their life miserable by calling back and tying up their lines.
BTW, David/Frank did not appreciate a suggestion he go to the privacy of a rest room and do something that is very difficult anatomically- Caller: Scam call claiming to be the IRS
- Melissa FloresI received a phone call on my cell claiming to be a final notice of a pending IRS lawsuit. They called from 7188229084. What is going on?
- Jeanette from NYI received the same call and spoke to David Brown--I told him he had quite an American name for such a foreign accent. He said I owed IRS $1,986.73. He even had an 'agent number' and told me to write it down. He said all my bank accounts would be frozen, my drivers license seized and my home seized. LOL He told me the IRS 'sent me a letter, but no one was him.' What an idiot! I told him his english makes no sense, neither does, no one was home when a letter was sent. So I called my accountant--this is called an IRS Impersonation Scam and I filed it on the its webste for this. You can to--go to: TIGTA.GOV and fill in the information. This low-life needs to stop harassing people!

- Mr. DaveGot 2 phone calls at home this afternoon with in an hour and caller ID say's PAYPHONE. Message says "It's the IRS final notice to pay. Call the number and make your payment today". WE DO NOT OWE the IRS. Be careful of #'s 607-724-9716, 516-285-9894 and the call back # is 209-243-6009 on the last call to make a $$. I called the 1st 2 back and the # is not in service. - DeeReceived a voice mail message today from a female caller stating she was from the IRS and that they have been trying to reach me. Caller ID for the call came from 817-275-9369 but the caller said to call 209-243-6009 immediately as there is a lawsuit against. Initially my heart stopped until I did a reverse search on this number and saw all the comments... Thanks!

- Annoyed in VaI received a phone call from (310) 510-9156 (number displayed on my caller ID). The voice mail left was an automated female voice claiming to be from the IRS stating that this was the final notice and action would be taken. The message said that i should call (209) 243-6009 for more information and case number. Apparently, these scam artists are trying to add a new level of credibility to their attacks by using an automated female American voice (previous phone calls were made by a male - Pakistani or Indian (dot not feather) - with an accent that was almost impossible to discern. It should be noted that this same scam artist has also claimed to be from the Dept of Treasury (202-506-8119) and Windows Software company where they stated that i had a serious virus on my home computer and needed access to repair (Hah! i have a MAC). Protect yourself people - they are scam artists. And please warn and protect your elderly parents and friends before they fall victim to these criminals! Apparently they have many phone numbers and tactics at their disposal... so BEWARE!

- HeatherThis is the second time I have received this call (the first was 5 months ago). This time it was automated instead of a real person. The caller ID says 607-767-0057. The number to call is 209-243-6009. Both times it was obviously a scam, but people need to know about it, so that they don't panic.
- Scott MassI got the same message, tried to call back to give them a earful but no awnser
