I have received a call from this number as well...twice now and same thing, disconnected when you try to call back !! ugh

I hope you people called the FBI. Look on Googles and click to image under this name Amanjot Hundal. I did not answer the phone then I waited to call twice, operator told me that number was disconnect. Why is this person calling each one of us?  It called to my Vedio Phone (V.P.) its a phone with vedio for the heairng impaired. Not cell phone.

I'm getting frequent annoying, middle of the night calls from this number with the id Hundal Amanjot

I have been getting fax calls from this number for several days. Attempts to send a fax to this number have been futile. Like others I have tried to call the number back and received a "number is disconnected" message. Someone is falsifying the caller ID. It showed the name of Amanjot Hundal who has posted to this forum claiming that his number was hacked. They have also fooled the *69 option. I *69'd immediately after the call came in and the number given was the LAST VALID call that I have received. I've blocked this number using Vonage's phone management applet.

If your toll free line is from Vonage they have the option to block specific numbers. This is what I did. If you have an AT&T line you can call to get your service upgraded (at a cost) to allow you to block certain numbers.

A call came in just noise

I too received many phone calls from this number at around 3AM through 4:15AM. I could here a loud screaching noise in the backround.

I received a call from 299.541.1983 with the name of Hundal Amanjot attached.  Phone disconnected before I coiuld answer.  Stange.

Attempted fax transmission

got a call several times. once a fax was recorded by vm.

Just so everyone knows, depending on the type of phone system that is making these calls, the phone number can be "spoofed" - which means, they put out a fake number to avoid being detected and trakced down. Our friend Aman here was probably a victim of circumstances and hasn't done anything wrong at all. I suggest calling your phone service provider and ask them if they can block that number to prevent it from ringing you again.

I have disconnected this number months back and got a new number. My phone company did investigation and told me nothing they can do other then cahnging my number.

So what the hacker is doing: He is calling form his number to all you guys and my old number shows up there.

The investigator was from Michigan.

I am the ex owner of this number 209-541-1983. My number was hackd by some hacker. I called ATT&T and they told me to change my number. I have disconnected this number months back and got a new number. My phone company did investigation and told me nothing they can do other then cahnging my number.

So what the hacker is doing: He is calling form his number to all you guys and my old number shows up there.

It's real unfortunate how we've screwed up our phone system so badly with the stupid ideas about phone calls over the Internet and no regulation.
Before that, it was impossible for someone to fake the calling line ID, since it was completely controlled by the phone company, whom we could all trust to ensure that the number was right.
Now, we've opened it up to every scammer in the world, with no way to track them down.
I feet real sorry for Aman who had his number used by the scammer. We're going to see more of this.

My cell phone disconnect automatically after 10 to 20 secounds.Is someone is disconnecting my call.I check the signal at both the ends.I try to connect 5 to 6 times every time i try to connect the call dis automatically.

To busy. And no time.

We had a big pie fight! It was the most fun that Ive ever had! She told me how her hair was dry and limp! And she wanted me to dump a bag of pancake mix over her head after it was mixed! And so I did! She was drenched! Her hair was messy and wet!

Caller said her name was Amber, from Horizon Agency. Didn't want to leave a message; said she'd call back later.  Caller ID said "ECONTACTLIVE IN."
